After re-reading that thread I think I'm leaning towards building an avoidance bard if the instruments are available anyway.

OK, Bard it is, I'll bring my instruments!

Picc, please email, PM, or post your build and I'll build the party sheet for this.

FYI, I am thinking of tweaking the difficulty levels a bit for WYC Grind. See:

I'm fine with Nightmare but I'm not sure some of the other players are equipped well enough. For example, look at Joshua's build, it is fine for Hardcore but probably not Nightmare?

I'm down for anything, fully expecting to die ;)

Grind is where builds go to die.

There is nothing wrong with a TPK in grind and there's no way to know where we stand unless we try it.

There's no loot to lose if you die :)

Honestly if we have an Eldrich 2 piece Cleric with dual heal glasses I'd say lets hit nightmare.

I will definitely 100% vote for Nightmare. Let's test our builds and see how we fare against the best Incognito has to offer!

But I will follow what people want.

Re: (FILLED) Need one for Hardcore TrueGrind at WYC 9 years 1 month ago #24

Based on my experience last year WYC grind is a step above GenCon grind in difficulty. The party I was in was much better equipped (lots of legendaries) and loaded with long tine veterans. While 7 of 10 ultimately survived, it is as a very near thing. IIRC no one tried nightmare last year and the survival rate overall was around 50%. I'd have to do some thread necromancy to confirm this, but I think I'm ballpark right.

On the other hand, if people are willing to break out the transmuted mushrooms...

But knowing Incognito. He has already factored that into his planning.

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir
