TOPIC: Fireseed Hollyberry

Fireseed Hollyberry 14 years 8 months ago #1

Okay.
What is it?
A missile weapon, fired from a sling?
A "holy hand grenade"?

Does the "fire" portion of the name mean anything?

I didn't see anything specific about it.

Sorry if the question is inane.
Thrown weapon, think rock. So ranged combat.

Fire damage? (For immunities/vulnerabilities)
I dont believe there is fire damage associated with it. I'm just going off memory here, but I think it just had a normal damage wheel.

Actually, the damage if from fire, it is just already calculated into the damage wheel. So both fireseeds do fire damage, per the damage wheel.

Dave

Do they count as weapons for trade tokens?

I think they count as Items/Gear, and count toward Darkwood Planks. Dave's list includes "berries", which should include Fireseed Hollyberries, but it doesn't mention Fireseed Hickorynuts, though they should also count. Much like Alchemist Fire, they do damage, but don't count in the "weapons" category.
Well, that was the original thinking, and i have take them as Items, but...

After some thinking, they have a damage wheel, so I have moved them to the weapons category, and yes, before anyone points it out to me, I moved the thunderstone and alchemist fire into weapons, too.

by berries, I meant good berry, but if you want to send me the fireseeds as Items, I won't return your shipment.

Dave

So, I'm guessing the same goes for Orb of acid which you have listed as Gear in the trade items post?

Yes, that is correct.

I am trying to simplify things by taking the stance that if it has a damage wheel, it goes in the weapons section. The skull, orb, Alc. Fire, and Thunderstone are now in the same section with ranged weapons.

Sorry for any confusion, as I said, I will take these used in either category until after the con, then the newly revised guide will be the proper reference.

Dave

Dave-
You might want to very clearly state in the guide whether the Spiked Buckler can be traded as armor or armor/weapon. Since it has a damage wheel, it could cause confusion otherwise.

Officially I believe it was declared a weapon (at least at TR).
