TOPIC: First Tokens <pic>

I found this pic while looking for some stuff for the Retro module.  This is Gen Con So Cal 2003 where tokens were first introduced.  We sold about 100 packs and we called them "Treasure Kits".  The pouch was put inside a box and sealed with a sticker.<br /><br />I wonder if any unopened boxes remain on some gamer's book shelf.<br /><br /><br /><br />[attachment deleted by admin]

Yep - unopened 2003 token box just jumped to the top of my Christmas list!  =D

As I recall there was one guy who bought about 20 Treasure Kits.  I would imagine he opened them all, but who knows.  The funny part is that the tokens were ALSO on sale at the Gen Con Merchandise booth, so I did not see all the purchasers.<br /><br />(And thank goodness for that one guy who bought 20 or so boxes.  We probably would not have introduced them at Gen Con Indy in 2004 if we did not hit the goal of 100 sold!)<br /><br />Thank you So Cal guy.

Let's have some Retro 2003 unopened Treasure boxed kits for True Realm!   =D<br /><br />You know - that would be a GREAT True Realm exclusive, to bring people in to True Realm!  Do a limited print run of wooden 2003 tokens (somehow marking the tokens that they are a new printing), sell them in the Treasure Token Kit boxes (again marked that they are a retro reprint), and ONLY offer them at True Realm!  <br /><br />You could even limit their sale to make them more exclusive (and to drive Dungeon Run sales) by offering them only in the exit room of the Dungeon, and only one per person there.  That way people would have to do a Dungeon Run at True Realm in order to qualify for buying a box of them.<br />
