It has to have the word "potion" on the token.

BTW - can one quaff a polymorph token with a belt of retrieval and then attack in the same round? Is it that instantaneous?

Yes, you can! And with a Potion of Barkskin, you could not take an action that same round, but you could the next round.

#1. Darkwood Shillelagh: The Darkwood Shillelagh is still far superior to anything in it's class. It has a superior damage wheel when compared to the Cudgel. It is identical to the Obsidian Dagger except that it never breaks. And it's as good as a Quarterstaff but only requires a single hand. The main problem is that it is usable by all, making it easily the best weapon for the Wizard (other classes have access to Short Swords, Heavy Maces, or other weapons that are equal or better). A logical restriction would be to bar the Wizard from using the Shillelagh.

#2. Faerie-Iron Club: Is excessively good for the Druid and the Rogue (lots of damage for a one-handed weapon). Looks like Mike already suggested banning the Rogue (coincidentally enough he didn't mention the Druid) and Jeff agreed. With an average damage of 4.5 it is far better than the Scimitar - the only thing really better is the Masterwork Spear (an out of print Combo token). Just compare it to the Faerie-Iron Warhammer or the Heavy Mace, which are essentially the same as the Faerie-Iron Club, except they are restricted to: Barbarian, Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, and Ranger. (Bards can use Long Swords but have traditionally been banned from Heavy Maces. May also be a bit good for Monks, though I assume you give up your second attack. But Druids and Rogues really should both be prohibited).

#3. Sling Bullet of Fire/Frost/Shock: I agree with the others that the Uncommon bullets should only do 2 damage. Look at last year's Bolt of Lightning and Sling Bullet of Impact for example. Sure, the Impact bullet does sonic damage, but when you look at the Rare Runestones, you see they all add the same amount of damage regardless of type. Right now, the bullet stones are so much better than arrows or bolts. Sure, there are some good bows out there (but crappy crossbows), but now there's also the +2 Sling of Doom!

#4. +1 Arrow of Doom: I also agree that the +1 Arrow of Doom is too weak. It's the same as a +1 Arrow, unless you're lucky enough to slide a "20" (this is assuming that you have to declare the use of the Arrow before you slide - I've seen DM's handle it both ways). I'd rather see a Rare +2 Arrow, than the conditional +5 damage if you can slide a "20." Either way - yeah, there are some good bows out there, but most players (aside from Smak) aren't going to be burning Rare Arrows with every attack!

#5. +1 Darkwood Longbow: Seems to have an incorrect damage wheel. The normal Darkwood Longbow is: 1-1-2-4-5-7-8-8 but the +1 Longbow is: 2-2-3-5-6-8-8-9 (that second 8 should actually be a 9).

#6. +1 Halberd: Also has an incorrect damage wheel. The normal Halberd is: 1-1-2-2-5-5-9-9-10-10 but the +1 Halberd is: 2-2-3-3-9-9-10-10-11-11. Those two 5's should be 6's, but they got flipped into 9's (making the +1 Halberd way too powerful!).

#7. Faerie-Iron Armor: I can understand Jeff's motivation for wanting to keep the standard AC bonus at 5. But I am still concerned about power creep (obsoleting the Elven Chain). One solution might be to make the Faerie-Iron Armor slightly less effective (only +4 AC) against an equally rare group of monsters. So normally it functions like Elven Chain. Extra strong against fey, but a little weaker against some other category. Could be +4 AC against aberrations (since such abominations aren't really "natural") or +4 AC against Clerics (who are overly protective of the Fey). Heck, you could even make it +4 AC against ducks! Even if we almost never see that monster, at least we can point out one potential scenario where the Elven Chain won't be outclasses by the Faerie-Iron Armor.

#8. Pilum of Lightning: The "1 throw only" may be confusing (with some people thinking that it is re-usable, like the Shuriken). Maybe "1 use only" is better wording?

#9. Potion Polymorph: Um...that's an awful lot of damage from a simple Wolf! Are you sure this isn't supposed to be a Dire Wolf? With 2-4-6-8-10-12, this normal wolf is dealing 7 points of damage on average - more than a Great Sword! Considering that the Circlet of the Arch-Druid makes you into a *Dire Bear*, it seems more consistent if the Rare Potion makes you a Dire Wolf rather than just a normal Wolf.

#10. Torc of Natural Armor: Others have already mentioned it. I am on the fence since I can see both sides. I am worried since it is power creep (over the Amulet of Natural Armor, and when looking at the Red --> Purple Bracers). But I can also see the logic of providing more tempting alternatives to HoP, AoW, and the Medallion. So I'm neutral on the matter, but I acknowledge the potential issues on both sides.
