TOPIC: Order before GenCon Pros/Cons

Is there a cut-off date where you can't order more tokens this year? My friends and I are considering trying to transmute something prior to the December 1, 2017 deadline for that item and it will take a good amount more trade goods than what we have.

Related to that, were the token sets that could potentially have Golden Tickets set aside in a way where one of the orders after GenCon wouldn't receive them (or, if they do, would the ticket be good the following year?) I assume, during the year, tokens returned for transmuting are re-packaged for more orders to go out. That, likely, gives more than enough to fill orders post-GenCon to avoid the weird situation of someone ordering a Golden Ticket in November.

Anyone know the answers to these two questions? Thank you!

August 7th is the cutoff for orders/transmutes.

The GT thing, I think they have always turned up before Gen Con.

I think the rares & uncommons are saved for treasure boxes, but transmuted commons go to some far off magical land...I think.

And most likely several folks could aid your trade item search...myself for one.

There's only one Golden Ticket left, so if you want one I'd recommend ordering right away! I wonder how many token packs are left - down to one Golden Ticket means we're pretty close to a complete token sellout - although I think Jeff usually keeps some reserved for sale at GENCON.

Can anyone get Jeff to post how much is left in stock? If there are 20,000 tokens still - I'd have no hope to get the ticket left. If it is 2,000 - it starts seeming a lot more possible

He called out $250 pyp packs in the email, so they can't be down to the wire. Of course, that was at 4:00. I guess if it was really close 8 of those could do inventory in.

I'm guessing the GT inventory is seperate from the 80,000 some odd tokens set aside for runs.

Damn, that's a crazy amount.

I've never seen him do that before. Someone would just buy that many token packs if it was a lower number.

Thinking about it more, he can't be out. Not with Gamehole still coming this year. Maybe the GT mix is low. This stuff comes from China? TD would have to do an order like .. today .. and hope if they were out. Three months is probably JUST sea time + customs.
