TOPIC: Deadline for Shipping Tokens for Transmuting

The web site has an old date listed referencing GenCon in 2016, which was much earlier in the summer (end of July rather than later in August).

"When is the cut-off date for sending in tokens for exchange prior to Gen Con?

We MUST receive your shipment by July 15th, 2016. Any TEP orders we get between July 16th and August 15th will not be processed until the later half of August."

Is the deadline still the 15th of July this year?

The store closes August 7th. I would guess the cutoff would be then as well (date from recent newsletter)

Someone likely has better info than that.

Usually about a week before GENCON so Aug 7 sounds correct.

If you are close to the cutoff date then don't send them in and instead transmute at Gen Con (except for Trade Goods for US customers). If you only need 1 or 2 trade goods usually the resellers will accommodate you.

Keep in mind that you cannot make trade tokens while at Gen Con. You can make Relics and other transmutable tokens, just not Planks, Silks, etc.

There may be an exception to that rule if you are coming from outside the US. I could be wrong.

That is indeed the case.

Are TPTB swapping out the old trade tokens for the new artwork at gen con or is it mail in only?

I could have sworn Jeff said they were, but I will need to find the post to confirm that....it might be just Origins I am thinking about.


It must have been Origins, because I cannot find anything about it for Gen Con.

We won't be swapping out old tokens for the new "chocolate" tokens at Gen Con. We hope they folks will just use the old ones up making transmute tokens through the rest of 2017. Next year we will start doing swaps at Cons.

The deadline for us to receive transmute tokens before Gen Con is Aug. 7th. IF we get your order in the mail after that date, it won't be transmuted until after Gen Con.
