Compared to Wizards:

Druids have better access to weapons (scimitars, spears, d8 weapons)
Druids have better access to armor (especially the Dragonscale set)
The Baton of Focus is much better than the Staff of Focus
The Druid's Figurine (Owl) is much better than the Wizard's Figurine (Dragon)
Players generally value healing scrolls as much more valuable than damage scrolls
Druid's get +1 level with the 2-piece Eldritch set while Wizard's need the 3-piece set
Druids also get nifty things like the overpowered Lenses of Divine Sight and Shield of the Scholar, along with some weaker items like the Coronet of the Arch Druid.

All that Wizards really get that are special (compared to Druids) are the +2 Staff of Power, the Mad Evoker's Charm, and the subpar Ring of Wizardry.

Oh, and let's not forget that Druids also get extra spells compared to the other spellcasters.

Compared to Wizards, the Druids have an extra 2nd level and extra 3rd level spell.
Compared to Clerics, the Druids have an extra 0th level and extra 3rd level spell.

I read that story and think:

Oh, that's the kind of "know your place" type of propaganda that has been used to enforce social class, prevent social mobility, and maintain the status quo that has been used for millennia by political elites and religious authorities alike.

Imagine such a story being used in the old Indian caste system. Dalits and Vaishyas, you are the stone cutters in the story, so you should be happy with what you have!

Or think of the old patriarchies using such a story to explain why women should be content with their lot in life - staying at home and taking care of the family. Because what is more powerful than the power of creating life?

Honestly I was thinking more of the futility of arguing which class is "best" is like arguing which selection is "best" in a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Haha, I love druids right now. They're so good.

I was talking with my wife (she's the druid) about tokens she could get on our way back from TDC.
She just recently got the Medallion of Mystic Mouth and it's a blast.

I think next on the list is getting a Druid’s Wild Vestments so she can polymorph into a bear/spider/cobra and still use wands as a free action while she's biting/mauling. Love it!
Playing True Dungeon since 2012.

Per TokenDB.Com, Druid's Wild Vestments and Shirt of the Fae don't give the ability to use items like Wands:

"Wearer may speak and cast spells from their character card while polymorphed, but not use scrolls or miscellaneous magic items"

Wow, okay. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
I guess we just read the "No polymorph restrictions" part.
Lame.

It is a very common error. The wording was poor on that

That's what many of us thought for the past 6 years. It was only recently (earlier this year) that we were told that it was intended to work differently.

I used to think it meant you could poly- shark and still attack on dry land.

I also thought the +1 Mithral Long Sword always hit undead targets.

Lesson learned: if you think a token is super good, check it in the tokendb

Uh, in the early days, Polymorph really sucked.

So even when Wild Vestments was thought to remove all polymorph restrictions (and allow the use of items), it STILL was not a popular token.

So it was never "super good"....

unlike ::cough cough:: the Batons of Focus, the Viper Strike Fangs, the Mighty Bows, and the Lenses of Divine Sight. Or the Cloaks of Shadowskin, Earcuffs of Orbits, Charms of Brooching, and Kilts of Tavernbane.
