TOPIC: Transmute Question

Alright so I will be doing my firsts transmutes. I understand the logistics based on what's posted. One question in terms of Gold. If I have the gold required but it is not in 1k bars, do I also have to transmute those first and then use only bars with the final transmute?

For instance I want to transmute the blessed shield and it requires 4k gold. I have that, but not in bars. Do I have to first transmute the gold into 4 (1k) bars and use the bars for the to transmute the shield?

Just want to make sure so that I don't slow the process down.

The recipe will say "in reserve bars" if those are required. It looks like the Blessed Shield doesn't require bars.

I think only Legendary (orange) items require reserve bars.
