Does anyone use any kind of consumables anymore?

Speaking at the Nightmare level - I rarely see it but yet I consistently see casters doing skill checks for a few points. Granted Nightmare isn't terribly tough but if it gets harder anything that slows combat down is going to be a negative. Meaning I would rather see a consumable then a skill check.

Certainly a few points from skill checks at Normal (without high bonuses) is way worth it, as well as consumables, but Nightmare is a different game.

I use plenty of healing consumables, but often that's in parties where the healer classes aren't on the ball in terms of using their spells (you can't take it with you, buddy...)

I also will use the Dust tokens when casting spells as a wizard.

I'm sure melee runestones will get used plenty by BiS players this year with the Decay Runestone being available.

I use small healing consumables occasionally. Sometimes a double-digit heal from the cleric card is overkill.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I use more one-point heal potions than I used to, now that we have the Pouch. They feel like a bargain now.

With the Tube, I imagine I'll use more common scrolls.

Are we talking ammo or in general because there is a fair amount of potions that see use like leaping attack and polymorph.
Not much that can't be fixed with a big stick.

Last year I used lots of consumables on a nightmare puzzle run. I let the group work on puzzles and just kept throwing potions into the bucket as they made mistakes and took damage. Over the run I am sure I used a couple hundred hp in healing potions.

I've often used small healing potions. Plan on using a lot of dusts in future adventures.

Anybody ever use a Wand? I've never seen any used. Possibly because they are underpowered?

Some wands are great without a handy spell substitute. I still have some Wands of Illumination. I'd use them more if undead weren't so scarce lately.

But if you're a Normal low-STR wizard and your choice is try to poke it with a stick or use a charge, wands aren't bad.

My default cleric build the range attack is laughable so I use potions of leaping for my ranged attack option. I suspect I will be using potions of fey bane and Potion Ironclad for runs this year, +4 ac vs Fey is nothing to sneeze at if I need it. If I am running with a bunch of newbies I will sometimes us potions of bull strength/brawn, I used a Potion Fiery Ice Lager to cope with a bunch of AOE fire attacks recently as well.
