I was under the impression that they were allowed. But the volunteers that run the vouchers would not be doing them until Thursday of gen con
But if you had one, it was honored. Maybe I missed something

Do you get one voucher per calendar year OR one voucher between the Thursday of GenCon until the Wednesday of the night before the next GenCon?

Are the vouchers only good the day you get it or do they expire as the end of the "year"? (what the year is defined as)

I've never gotten a voucher except for a few years ago when I transmuted one of the first RoSPs. I always had to ask for one when I'm using my RoSP for the year.

Usually, for me, it's Saturday while I'm in the Coaching Room of my last TD Run of GenCon. Then all of a sudden I shout: "Oh crap! I haven't used my Rod Of Seven Parts yet!! This is my last Run of GenCon!!"

Then I'm dashing to the Front Desk to get my voucher so I can give it to the Coach to get my character card.

It's been different rules different years.

In 2015 at Gen Con it was asked and answered before the event that RoSP vouchers could not be used in the GT run.

In 2016 at Gen Con it was asked and answered before the event that RoSP vouchers could be used.

In 2016 at Gen Con it was asked and answered before the event that RoSP vouchers could be used.

i could be wrong but didnt the vouchers start in 2015 (they werent going to be available until thursday of Gen Con)

I think they started in 2014. That is when you could get the rod I believe. tokendb.com/token/rod-of-seven-parts/

And I think I have used the voucher 3 times. 2014, 2015, 2016.

i know the rod was 2014
but the vouchers I think came later because people were abusing the cards...(maybe)

Ahhh I follow you. You might be right then. That I don't remember.

I did a forum search. Voucher idea exist at least as far back as Jan of 2014.

"Each token can be used ONCE per year to allow the player to play a new sub-class of the 12 character classes (and it will automatically be at 5th level). When you get to Gen Con Indy, and if you plan on using your token that year, you need to stop by the TD Store to claim your Sub-class voucher."

There's too much going on Wednesday in the last-minute scramble for someone to sit there handing out vouchers. Fair enough.

Two ways around it:

Someone keep a list of what Rods are used for Prestige, and Jean or someone can cross those numbers off the list the next morning.

Or:

If everyone posts their Rod numbers ahead of time, then maybe someone could make up our vouchers ahead of time and bring them to the coaching room.

But either way, I don't plan on using it for the GT, so "not my monkey."
