TOPIC: Girdle for Trade

Re: Girdle for Trade 18 years 1 month ago #37

Sorry - yes ACB is always 10...but we were talking about the actual DEX score which for some like the Cleric is 10 which yields no + to ACB (so ACB = 10). The Rogue on the other hand has a DEX score of 16 which yields +3 to ACB (or ACB = 13).

I think the Bard still lays claim to the best possible AC...

Bard is Chain (5) + mage armor (4) with no shield and a dex bonus (1). That should be 20 plus all the magical whozits.

Paladin is plate +1 (9) + large shield (2) + dex bonus (1) for 22 plus all the remaining magical whozits.

Paladin should top out at....26 AC if I've done the math right.

I believe the AC is 27:

+10 - AC Base
+1 - Dex Mod
+9 - Plate +1
+1 - Bracers
+1 - Amulet
+1 - RoP
+1 - RoP
+2 - Large Shield
+1 - Gloves of Dexterity

27 AC

Although this could change with the next round of tokens.

Ahh thanks for clarifying, yeah I thought he had gotten a few point bonus because of how high the dex was.

And wow, Look out for the token tanks coming through!
*sews a bell on to brothers shoe so I can hear him when he backs up lest I get ran over while hiding behind him*

If you fought directly against a person with an AC of 27?

Even for a Barbarian with Gauntlets and a Girdle, anything other than a '20' would miss. :O
I double checked the 05' token guide by Dave.
And that is one question that didn't come up, can you were two of the same rings. Typically there would be no need as one ring of featherfall protects you as well as two, same with RoE. My thought would be no as that seems contrary to the nature of the rings.
But the limit is one ring per hand, there is no stated rule against having two rings of the same type.
I think Dave would have to clarify on that one.

I agree sis...let's wait and see what Dave and/or Jeff says...

I think D&D rules are pretty specific - maybe newer rules allow it but usually there is no stacking of the same thing...but TD could be different.
