Maybe I was hallucinating. I could have sworn I played some lobster class with a 12 dex. I just figured it was the cleric. More likely than the paladin or fighter.

Was that the rogue?
Didn't they have a 10 base and +2 dexterity bonus?

The Rogue has to be better than 10...as DEX is their prime skill.

I thought rogue was 16 dex, +3 to AC? One of the lobster classes (fighter/paladin/cleric) had a dex bonus to ac, I know it. The sheets aren't posted on the forums somewhere, are they?

Ahh, looks like it was the paladin. So that means that they would have the highest AC in the game.

Hmm, it looks like theoretically the barbarian could have a +7 to hit and damage. That would be pretty nasty.

IF the best armor a Bard can wear is Chain...the Bard can get to 26. The Paladin can also get to 26 so it is a tie.
I think the Bard still lays claim to the best possible AC...

Bard is Chain (5) + mage armor (4) with no shield and a dex bonus (1). That should be 20 plus all the magical whozits.

Paladin is plate +1 (9) + large shield (2) + dex bonus (1) for 22 plus all the remaining magical whozits.

Paladin should top out at....26 AC if I've done the math right.

Shoot, you're right. I was thinking rogue for some reason. So yeah, they should tie.

Yep - a tie it is - thanks to the +1 Plate for the Paladin only.

I thought all characters had a base ac of 10? And didn't one class get a +2 dex bonus to add to their ac? maybe it was the ranger or something.
