TOPIC: Token Email Question

Here is the official word:<br /><br />I really screwed this up...but good.<br /><br />The plan was just to allow people to go back and get only set items that they wanted.  It was a good plan.  It worked.<br /><br />Unfortunately, in the midst of a week of little sleep and rush to finish up the Dwarven Forge website and to get stuff ready for the TD video shoot I told someone that they could CHOOSE ANY URs from 2007-2010 except the HoP and AoW.  They placed their order and I did not realize the issue until it was brought up after the newsletter went out.<br /><br />So...here is the official word.<br /><br />Jeff is a ding dong.  And this year...and only up until April 2nd...and not any time in the future...you can get older URs you might be missing except the HoP and AoW.  This offer expires on April 2nd and it won't ever happen again...not even for set items. <br /><br />If you want to change your URs now it is not a problem.  Just send an email to "Lori at store*aatt*truedungeon.com" and we will get your new list ready. <br /><br />I am sorry for the problems, and I have now learned to never send hasty replies!<br /><br />Thanks for your patience with my limited admin abilities.  I am more of the creative type!<br /><br /><br />Jeff

Eh. I'm sorry to hear that. It just makes me regret having picked up so many URs from 07, 08, etc as 'trade fodder'. Screw that for a game of soldiers.

Who knows. I can see the reasoning but it still feels like a kick in the teeth. It's the equivalent of finding out they're selling packs of alpha again for the same price as 36th edition or whatever the hell MTG is up to nowadays. This is actually the second time people have been allowed to pick URs from past years. Last time I figured it was necessary since with the economy and all, I was worried token sales would bottom out without an incentive. This time, Jeff saw the POV of longterm TD'ers and changed the policy only for us to end up back there anyway. Telling that one person they could have their previous year URs because they were given the wrong info would have been fitting and fair. Opening it up to everyone...well...back to that game of soldiers.

It is kind of disappointing that the entire community "takes a hit" even given that this is a small community.<br /><br />If the person that held Jeff to his word only thought of the betterment of the whole...I think we would be in a much better place.<br /><br />But alas this is not our big blue marble yet...
