Oh, and has anyone confirmed with Jeff if he is OK with shipping the tokens to multiple people, and if he is OK with doing the random selection of the bonus items?

Thanks!
Mike

Last year the TD folks were willing to ship the tokens to multiple people in the same order, but we didn't have anything like this drawing, so I can't speak to that. This message should not be construed as confirmation that Jeff will ship a split order this year to all the buyers, merely that last year he was willing.
Everyone is getting their unopened packs of tokens sent directly to them, right? If so, wouldn't a GT and/or any 00 packs belong to whomever finds them in their packs?

It depends on how it's done. It probably won't make a difference but because of the condensed vs normal, it could.

Is it possible for one person to win all the random items, or is someone out of the random drawings until everyone has an item?

If they're lucky they're lucky.

Also, who is doing the random drawing?

Hopefully Jeff will do it and it shouldn't take much to find an 8-sider and roll it a few times. I haven't asked him since this purchase isn't confirmed until I get 8/8 lots and the URs don't clash. If for some reason he's unwilling to do it I'll just send him some numbers with no names attached and he can drop the various items in the various orders.

I'm in for $2K if it makes sense how it runs. My internet is limited right now, if you send me an I'm I can send you a list of the UR onyx I'm interested in.

That second sentence isn't translating. If you decide you want in, just drop me a line with the URs along with as much detail as you can provide as far as degrees of freedom and dealbreakers for onyx distribution.
Henwy

Would you be willing to divide the "extras" into eight lots (as equal as possible) and then let Jeff randomly assign one of the bonus lots to each of the 8 shares? I'd be more likely to participate if it were that way. I'd like a fairly even split among everyone than the chance some people could end up with no bonuses at all.

Mike

When it comes to the 'extras', I'd be in favor of Incognito's suggestion -

A. 1 extra UR (first pick)
B. 1 extra UR (second pick)
C. 1 extra UR (third pick)
D. 1 extra UR (fourth) & Complete set of Lore & Rumors
E. Onyx Common set
F. Onyx Uncommon set
G. Onyx Rare set
H. Wish Ring

IE: Each 'share' gets one of these items picked from a hat or whatever, giving every participant something for their money.
Blimey!

Sorry, but we would like to stay out of this as far as shipping it out to various people.

TD will agree to ship to ONE person 4 equal $2,000 packages of tokens -- and then a 5th package with all the Onyx and UR choice tokens. These four identical boxes can then be divided up however the group wants. The 5th can be opened and divided without worry of needing any randomization. This way I won't be determining anything, and I will stay clear of any sour grape issues.

Have fun working it all out!

I would agree with the breakout incognito had. An alternative would be for the four UR picks to be random (from the four remaining) and each of those include 10 Lore and 10 rumor tokens. Either option is good. That is a natural break of the bonus items 8 ways.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to do the random draw? Maybe a third party everyone trusts? Or maybe we could try a prioritized list to see if everyone wants different stuff? That probably wouldn't work, the common onyx set probably isn't in anyones top two list.

I think it's still do-able and I'd still be interested.

- It just adds a little extra complexity because of shipping. But not too big of a deal. If you order separately, you're already expecting to pay $10 of shipping. Any idea how much it would cost to mail $1K or $2k worth of tokens separately? In this case, you might want to select the lead handler not only on trustability but also on geographic centrality. (It's unlikely, but if all the participants live relatively close to each other, you can meet up instead of shipping).

- Also, another small fly in the ointment is when splitting a $2K package. Normally if you order a $1K package, you should be getting a random UR. If you divide a $2K package, you could inadvertently give someone two random UR's and one person none. (And regarding the trust issue, you have to trust the lead handler doesn't go through all the sealed packages and look for the ones that are slightly off, thus containing a UR).

Shipping cost isn't a big deal. The flate rate boxes will hold everything with room to spare. At most that's like $12 for the bigger one.
