I was hoping we could get some clarification on how the Polymorph tokens work.

For reference, the relevant tokens include: Potion Polymorph (Bear), Potion Polymorph (Otter), Coronet of the Arch-Druid, and the upcoming Potion Polymorph (Viper).

According to the guide: "The Druid or Wizard cannot use their spells or any physical items while physically transformed. They do, however, retain their respective Armor Class and Hit Points."

I was always under the impression that your permanent items are still in effect (AC, HP, but also effects like saving throw bonuses, damage reduction, set bonuses, etc) but that you were prohibited from using physical items like drinking potions or reading scrolls. But re-reading the description, the wording could be interpreted another way.

Could we please get some clarification?

I imagine that it would be easiest to allow equipped items to continue functioning. Otherwise it would be exceedingly complicated to redo the character sheet stats ("Cloak of Resistance doesn't count, your Dragonscale Armor gives you the +8 AC but not the -1 fire damage, even though you're using the Might set since you drank the potion you're back down to Level 3 while the potion is effect so you keep the HP and AC from the 4th level character but you have the stats and saving throws from the 3rd level character, and your Amulet of Wonder effect gets nullified because you can't "use" the item").

Thanks!
