Very cool indeed! How exactly does the token fit in it and how tightly does it fit?

Kim

Question was - how do tokens fit and how tightly: Short Answer: Peek at my website... there is a picture there of one flipped over and opened up. Longer more complete answer: Holder is 2 pieces of wood with a Token-sized depression milled into the center. The 2 pieces are held together with 2 brass Phillips-head screws. How tightly the token is held depends on the precise milling of the wood... and is slightly variable. I personally try to get each one so that the 2 halves of the holder seat flush against each other AND hold the token immobile. I test each with one of my tokens... if the holder does not go together flush - I re-mill just a bit. (In time the holder may become a bit loose, this can be resolved by adding a thin cardboard ring or piece of felt to the inside of the back piece of the holder.'
Hope this answers your questions – if not try again - =)
Aaron
Very nice indeed. What is the cost if we provide you with wood of our choice?

If you provide the wood of choice - I'd consider providing a basic holder at the lowest price I have listed on my website (same as oak or poplar).

Note it would need to be 1/4" thick and at least 3" x 6" so that I have enough matrial to work with for the design.

(I'd make a holder with wood >1/4" thick - but I'm not set up right now to plane it to any given thickness... and whatever thickness I use - the holder itself is double that so just be aware.)

If the wood is sentimental (antique wood, or from an old barn or house...) that's cool I'd be willing to give that a try - if it is a certain exotic - I may have access to it already.

Email me or respond here at the forum and let me know what you're thinking - I'm open to discussion:

oooooh those look awesome, I think Brian has the right idea. I might have to get a couple of them for those extra special tokens, especially for when not in use.
