TOPIC: Ingredients instead of 10 packs?

I posted this on another thread, but it seemed to get kind of buried.  I thought it might merit a thread of its own.<br /><br />What if you could get a stamp on your wristband that said you did not receive your 10 pack token bag?  Instead, at the XP desk you turned in the wristband and received 1 of each ingredient token.  This would be beneficial to the players who have the tokens they need, and are looking for ingredients.  It would also eliminate much of the cost of tokens from the TD point of view.  The major drawback here is ingredients become much less trade-able.

I like the option of getting your starting token bag or getting something else instead, if you already have plenty of tokens.  Might be a good way to get ingredients. 

They would definitely need to pack these different types in different bag colors to help avoid confusion.  One thing that may keep people from wanting to pass on the standard pack at check-in would be the chance that it could contain a purple.

this sounds very interesting. i usually have enough tokens already and sometimes end up ingredient poor. good idea.  =)

Even though it is sometimes tough to get the ingredient tokens you need, I really like that they are only available as Dungeon Treasure. It spices up Dungeon treasure, and it makes them special. Giving out a set to anyone that wanted one each run would completely take away from that. I'm cool with the option of getting something else instead of the starting bag of tokens, just not a set of ingredient tokens.

A set of each ingrediants for the year might be a cool item to auction off...of course not as cool as a set of all ingrediants ever <br /><br />Is the fact I am starting to want tokens just for the sake of the token and not its usefulness a bad thing...<br /><br />Jennifer
