TOPIC: Old XP question.

Old XP question. 9 years 8 months ago #1

I was just looking at the XP calculations and I think I see a mistake for me.

In 2009 I got 1000 points for getting to room 7 in 5 Aspects (Normal)
But I also got to room 6 in 5 Aspects (Nightmare) which should be worth 1250 points. The 1000 points is counted and the 1250 is set to 0.

Could you please check on this? (sometime before GenCon 2016 when it might matter)

I'm sure someone will be able to help, but maybe after a few days - People are still recovering from GC (I know I am!), plus they will need to empty trucks and store stuff in the warehouse.

I don't even have my 5 aspects runs listed for some reason. I assumed that they got piled under and overwritten by the true realm runs for that year. Anyone with a better memory who can recall for certain? Did XP stack that year from true realm as well as the Indy Aspects? I thought it didn't....I remember some people arguing that TR shouldn't provide 'new' xp.

So if it does stack....I'm missing my Aspects runs N/NM

If it doesn't stack....then George's xp is right. It just pulled the highest of his retro/aspect for N and NM and applied it.

If someone with database access does see this, it would be nice to get my aspects runs added, even if it has no effect on XP.

The more I look at it, the more ocnfused I'm getting. When we ran true realm in '09, it was in the spring. So....shouldn't it have been a mirror of the '08 dungeon not the '09 aspects? So why isn't aspects counting and why is it missing entirely? Did both the '09 dungeons that year count as only one dungeon for xp so if you ran smoak you didn't get credit for aspects and vice versa?

Who exactly has database access on this thing? At the very least I'd like to get my aspects run added even if it doesn't change the tally any.

If you recall, True Realm was not supposed to add any XP that was not available to people who only did GenCon.

There were two adventures at True Realm:

1. A Director's Cut version of the 2008 adventure (which counted for the same XP)

2. A Retro run which was essentially the same as the Five Aspects run (which could also be done at the 2009 GenCon).

Henwy, your XP totals look right.

You have 1000 XP for the Normal GenCon 2008 event, and the 1350 XP for the Nightmare Director's Cut from True Realm (these are considered the same event).

You have 1000 XP for the Normal Retro from True Realm, and the 1350 XP for the Nightmare Retro from True Realm.

Those numbers add up.

So the only thing that might be missing as "0 XP" columns for Five Aspects.

Are you absolutely sure you even did Five Aspects in 2009? I know a lot of people who did True Realm did *not* do Five Aspects b/c they had already gotten the XP at True Realm. Remember, this was the cause of the Creeper Thorn shortage?
