TOPIC: Character builder and Defender Set

The character builder doesn't seem to be applying the bonuses for the Defender Set. Is this something it can't handle?

Defender Set
When all three items are worn, character gains
immunity to Hold, Slow, and other hindrances (à
la BOOTS OF FREE ACTION) and +1 to AC (in
addition to the AC granted by the individual
items.)

I think we had a list at one point of all the character builder issues. I do remember the defender set being one of them.

Any idea where the thread is? I also notice that the Pharacus' Greater Cloak of Destiny isn't present in the official character generator...

Bumping this. I'm also curious because the level 5 cleric doesn't have his Strength at 12. Trying to get around that for the proper stats is a minor annoyance, but it'd be nice to have everything right.

I recommend using the excel spreadsheet. The numbers on it are correct. I don't build the onsite character had all its issues last year before GenCon so I wouldn't hold my breath for this year.

Seeing as they could not fix all the computer problems last year and are having people put in their own XP this year, I'd say they will not have the character builder working anytime before GENCON.

How hard is it to key a database entry with the GENCON ID number, so they can scan it, pull up a input window with Dungeon with radial buttons, and difficulty and a drop down with last room and hit submit.

Yeah, that's the more correct solution. I just like being able to save my character to the "cloud" so I don't have sheets on every computer I use.

If you use OneDrive or some other cloud storage service, you can do just that. I only mention OneDrive by name because of it's tight integration with Office 2013 and/or Office 365.

You can also use Google Drive. drive.google.com

Although I am not sure if its spreadsheet app has all of the features of MS.Excel, once you are done making your character you could always save it to Google Drive, so it will always be available anywhere you go.
