TOPIC: Team Synergy 2015 Kick-off/Participation Survey!

NOTE: THE SURVEY IS CLOSED FOR THE INITIAL ROSTERS! Please feel free to complete it if you'd like to be on a waiting list. The rosters will be posted by Tuesday (5/11) night.

Hello, everyone! Thanks for your interest in Team Synergy 2015! We're thrilled to be coordinating Synergy runs again this year. I will be coordinating run schedules with the Run Sponsors (so we dont overlap) and, once we are set, the Sponsors will be managing their own rosters and forum posts.

This year, I’ll be trying to finalize run rosters before we buy tickets. We will be starting the process by asking everyone that wants to join us to complete a quick survey; this will help us to coordinate the many runs we need to schedule. I know that this is a little bit of a hassle, but—the survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. It can be found here:

Note that you must complete a survey to be included on a Team Synergy roster, and we're asking that a survey must be completed by/for each player.

I’m asking that all those that wish to commit to one or more Team Synergy runs do so by completing a survey by 5:00 PM Eastern on Monday, May 11th. I will then finalize rosters and coordinate with run sponsors to post rosters on Tuesday/Wednesday of that week. We’ll then have everything ready for us to purchase tickets on the 17th—and it will give us a chance to make sure that the rosters are accurate before tickets are purchased. We've had some players back out after tickets are purchased, and doing it this way will help to limit that risk for our run sponsors.

Each run will have its own thread, but I will also be maintaining a single forum thread with links to all runs and will attempt to update openings/changes.

As a potential volunteer this year, I might not know my volunteer schedule until May 10th. Can we make the deadline May 11th? Or even end of day on May 10th?

For now I selected some pretty broad availability because I don't know when I'll be selected for volunteering (if at all).

Thanks. I'm waiting on a full time volunteer schedule as well. But I say at this point that between volunteering and other events Thursday and Friday are the days I will have open for synergy runs.

Assuming I am selected to volunteer again.

How many Team Synergy runs will there be this year?

It's going to be based on interest; I am planning to sponsor 2-3 dungeon runs, as well as (hopefully) a True Grind run. I also have 3-4 others that have indicated that they will sponsor runs, so--if we have enough participants, we might have as many as seven runs this year. I believe we had six last year, and it felt like a good amount--we were able to accommodate everyone, but it was still manageable. I'll know more over the course of the next week.

Managing it via a survey should help a bit, as all participant information will be in one place. Fizz did it that way in 2013, but in retrospect I think we did it too early--a lot of people had forgotten they'd said they wanted to run with us, and we had a LOT of open slots when people backed out--leaving the sponsors with extra tickets and financial liability. Hoping that won't be the case this year...

Are there any restrictions? I mean, I have never run as part of Team Synergy. Can I still join?

No, no restrictions! We do, however, usually run on Hardcore/Nightmare, so--if you aren't well-equipped (i.e. URs/purples and higher) you may have a tough time surviving.

As far as the the Synergy tokens are concerned--most, if not all, run sponsors have spares to lend out (on paper) for those that don't have them. I have five sets of Synergy/CoGF charms, so I can help out a few on those runs.

What difficulty is team runs typically done at. I want to play, will fill out survey once i know volunteer status. Does one need multiple synergy tokens to play?

Usually at hardcore or nightmare. Most run sponsors have at least a few spare sets of synergy tokens for their groups. Beyond that--it's highly recommended (but not required) to be pretty well-equipped for your class.
