TOPIC: No worries about Wednesday

I have gotten a few inquiries about the chance that we might sell out of Rings of Riches on Wednesday before everyone gets one.

Please do not worry...we should have plenty of them and the other high demand URs. Please don't stress about it. I know I should be scaring people to up sales, but I don't want to do that. No worries...okay?

The store should also have its automatic "Pick your Purple" menu working so that you don't have to email us about your UR choices. You can indicate your PYP selections during your purchase. It's pretty cool.

Thanks, Jeff. I hadn't contacted you, but I was wondering if the Ring of Riches or Might Set items might sell out almost instantly. I do wonder if you're underestimating the number of them that might be ordered - in particular I think a LOT of multiples of the Ring of Riches might be ordered, especially if people are thinking it might shoot up in value like the Horn of Plenty (which it should not, since there will be more in print initially, and unlike the Horn of Plenty you can always reprint the Ring of Riches in a future set).

I was wondering what will happen to an Ultra-Rare that does sell out. You'd said that Ultra-Rares from 2011 would be available in 2012 (each year the current and past year UR's will be available). If (for instance) the Ring of Riches sells out this year, will you print more so that it is available in 2012 for ordering, or will it remain sold out until you reprint it in a future set?

I would not reprint any sold out 2011 tokens in 2012...but maybe in 2015 or so.

I want to add these two things to make sure people are not freaking out about tomorrow:

1) I GUARANTEE that any orders placed by the end of Friday, Oct. 22nd will receive whatever Ultra Rare tokens the buyers want. I will print up more Rings of Riches, for example, if need be just so people don't stress over it. I will update this later, as I am sure I can keep extending this deadline.

2) I reserve the right to issue any previously released token (other than the HoP) in future years. It may never happen, but it is good for us to have that option open.

Nope...we have plenty of 2010 URs, too.

But if you run out (I'm looking at you, Orb of Might and RoAEM) before Friday, will you reprint them?

Nope...I can't do that...but we should have enough.

Good point, though! Okay...I won't GUARANTEE the 2010s...but I don't think there is much chance of them selling out.

I didn't see this feature when I placed my order yesterday, I just put my PYP in the comments section of my order. Is that sufficient or do I need to do something else to get the PYP I wanted in the order?

That feature was broken until much later in the day. No worries...we got your choice in the text box.

Ahh the joys of being early in the process. Still that is good to know and I won't worry about it.

It would be very interesting to know how close you came to selling out on any of the UR once the guarentee period ends. I am kind of torn, I hope you sold a TON of tokens but I am also hoping nothing sold more then 50% in this early rush. I hope that tokens never get like tickets where you have to be online right when things go on sale to get them.
