Very much agree as that's common to me as i deal with vintage and sometimes collectible gear for work.And pricing and for what can change depending on what aspect.

As a curiosity and to my sickening stomach i priced out my own build using lowest possible #'s on Trent's site with #'s from a few tokens that weren't instock at the time of pricing from TD Tavern (9pm Eastern on 6/7/2020. I've long considered myself a budget player and to the folks who do 1k-8k a year i still am. Granted the large majority of value in my build and collection in general is Volunteer rares/URs and participation stuff.

My main build which is mostly UR land with a few relics (icecrag, RoH, bead) 1 legendary (CoA), 1 Eldritch (kilt). I'm at 4518~ That doesn't count extra RoH and Icecrag's i own (3 each beyond build). I don't have party sets of gear but guess it adds up more than i realize. To me it's stuff i've earned or picked up for the near decade i've been playing and volunteering. I've always spent far more on tickets and have those receipts over the years to remind me that honestly my build is cheap by comparison.

Sounds like a really cool Token. Would be nice to catch a glimpse.

I'm by far no power collector like many on here. I take care of our groups builds and deck out a full party of 10, not an individual class. So in general if I were to sell it all, I would likely expect in the neighborhood of $20k - $30k on a good day for everything. But much like any collectable. It's what the market is right now. I have tokens that at one time were worth far more then what they are now, and some that are worth far more then what I paid for them. And like you all, if/when Jeff hangs up his hat on TD, will cry at how little they are worth because I just couldn't part with them.

I get a little over $600 in replacement cost, estimating for a couple tokens that don't appear to be for sale anywhere.

Of course, I wouldn't get anywhere near that if I tried to sell - my Boom Stick is broken, and I'm assuming this asset class as a whole isn't that liquid, implying high bid-ask spreads.

That said, I've probably spent just under $100 out of my pocket (and less than $200 total on tokens since 2014). The rest is either from converting treasure pulls to usable gear or from the tokens I bought several years ago appreciating in value.
