TOPIC: Tokens on airplanes? Advice needed!

And that is why even a long weekend is just not enough for gamers. The conversations can go on and on and on with twists and turns and tangents... Fun times.
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

In my experience, even the Indy agents want to examine my tokens thoroughly. I've been pulled aside literally every time at both IND and LAX.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

It's an eleven hour drive for me to Indy, and my worry about bringing my token collection on the airplane is one of several reasons I don't fly. But good luck to everyone who doesn't have that option.

Safety tip. Don't put your tokens end to end in cases and then use the same bag to put your charging cable and camera spare battery in the same bag unless you want to get stopped :P

I've never been stopped in Austin. Just make sure you can get To a sample of the tokens and always tell them they are poker chips used for a game.

I haven't ever run into a problem flying with them but then I am leaving from Vegas... so poker chips are pretty common!

Follow-up: On the way out (through MSP) they guy working the x-ray machine pulled out my plastic carrier for a closer look, but when I told him "they're like poker chips" he didn't even open it up. On the return trip (in Indy) they were much more stringent, giving me over to a screener with latex gloves on. He poured some out in to the bin, and used his 'explosive detection' wipes on the rest of the case. Oddly they also had a problem with my dirty clothes bag, because I had tucked a DVD that I had won in there. That guy was quite impressed with my military style packing technique (roll up the clothes, don't fold). I made it to the gate in plenty of time - flight was delayed two hours anyway due to snow here in Minneapolis.

Glad the trip worked out! Are you gonna tell us where your dirty clothes have been so we can be impressed too?

Post your pic of Eddie Murphy's love child, Henwy, and we'll take a poll. Wait for it, everyone, this guy at the con was a dead ringer.

I ran into extra checks when they X-rayed the shrinkwrapped 10ct packs. Must have showed up as well organized cylinders.
