Make "secrets" somehow mechanically significant in the dungeon for 2026 only, and reprint some / all of:

Potion Detect Secret Doors
Scroll Detect Secret Doors
Scroll Comprehend Languages
Minor / Medium / Major Rumors

If this is done, there should probably be some class specific gear for at least Rogues and Bards that helps them find secrets.

Add an easter egg for Eye of Osiris holders.

Characters lost in deep dream may speak.




The Quiet Crown - Head - Usable by All

+2 to Will Saves and as an instant action may cast 'Mind Blank' on self (1/game)

Note: This assumes Mind Blank negates the deep dreaming condition; if it does, also reprint Rare Scroll Mind Blank.




The Skull-Key - Head - Usable by All

+5 Psychic Damage vs Outsiders and -3 to Will Saves




The Ring That Dreams - Ring - Usable by All

If the wearer is lost in deep dreams in any room other than the last room, they return to normal at the start of the next room. (1/game)




Oneiric Talisman - Charm - Usable by All

Wearer may reroll failed saves vs sleep/dream. (Must keep rerolled value.)

Note: You may be mistaken for a cultist while wearing Blood Red Robes.

+6 Darkrift Damage with 2-handed melee weapons; -2 HP when you leave a room




Discordant Hurdy-Gurdy - Instrument - Bard
+2 to hit & +4 to Will Saves to Bardsong





Trocar of Vital Extraction - Melee One Handed Weapon - All - 3-4-5-6 Damage Wheel

On hit renders target susceptible to sneak attack and critical hits during the next round of combat.




Miasma Censer - Melee Offhand - (Monks and Rangers may use as offhand weapon damage wheel 3-4-5-6)

Your melee attacks gain +3 Damage as poison

Grants 5 points of poison retribution damage

Deals weirder 3 pts poison each round

I really like this idea, I was trying to work out something similar, but was thinking of something that provided true sight for the individual, not the party. I like the party buff, but with a potential side effect.

My take would have been along the line of Warden Investigator's Lantern.
To simplify I would just say: 1/game provides party Truesight for room, +whatever drawback/risk.
Could also still make it individual, otherwise may end up with the whole party with Truesight all the time, though could make it a standard action to light.

Really wish forums had a way for people to like etc, to make it easy to see what ideas are popular.

Possibly with a reprint of Antressor Lute or another uncommon instrument that give a bost to will saves.

For re-print, I think Kvothe’s Bloodless is very thematic.

For UR (new token) ideas:

1. +2 Voidbane Shooter. This is a weapon and it could be a very large two-handed steampunk weapon.

2. Tome of Focus: +2 to focus, -2 to Will Saves (sort of a Gregor's reprint?)

3. Signet of Kathala: Immune to Dream condition (slotless)

As a barbarian player, interesting UR 2h melee weapons have been missing since the death cleavers, and with Enchanted whetstone and Carnage berserkers axe making those UR's irrelevant, we need something more in line with the Savage Sword's power level.

+2 great Void blade, 10,12,14,16,18,20 and whenever you hit an enemy with this weapon deal 2 points of eldritch damage to yourself. It hits very hard, slightly better on average than the savage sword but with a drawback that can't be avoided, figuring on 4 rounds of combat per encounter, 4 encounters per game were taking 12-16 points of damage per session.

+3 Great Void Blade 11,13,15,17,19,21, take 2 eldritch damage per hit, 3x crit on first nat 20 crit of combat

+4 xxx's Blade of the Infinite void 12,14,16,18,22, take 3 eldritch damage per hit, 3x crit on all crits natural or not.

I would like to do one weapon and one armor UR this year. What would be your choice for those? Thanks!

I was thinking of maybe adding three new Celestial items this year so that set power could be in play. Two could be a Celestial Great Mace (two-hander that insta-kills Outsiders on damage burst), and Celestial Armor (usable by All except Monk and Wizard) that gives stat boost of player's choice. Thoughts?

Probably does make sense to have three in total because the old ones are a little underpowered for what they do. What would the third item be?

The ideas certainly fit the theme for the year and could be fun.

My potential concerns would be that a lot of Paladin identity is based around Ava’s (also the UR and Relic Avengers) and a big part of those is the Evil Outsider instakill, either on a 20 or 20 with multiple burst dots. Expanding that power to more classes give Paladin’s less that is unique. Also the more classes that can instakill, the higher chances of a round 1 victory, and then 11 minutes of “what do we do while we wait for the horn?” I’ve seen instakill victories be both happy (yay, we were in bad shape and wouldn’t have won otherwise!) and unhappy (gee I paid for a ticket and the round 1 ghost accelerator kill means we stand around now).
