I made many more changes to these tokens than I hoped would be made -- but here we are. Sorry this keeps getting dragged out. Next year will be better!

I had to swap out the Duo Sling for the re-print of the +2 Sacred Sling.

I had to swap out the Gloves for the new Gauntlets.

I changed the Ring to something a bit fresher and fun. We will do a Acherin's item next year when we are feel from some of the 2021 URs being available.

I changed the Robe to remove the auto-pass skill ability since I want to explore the area of giving extra damage to successful skill checks.

I removed some of the effects from the Boots so I can keep them available for combats at high end.

Let me know what you think! We will get this done someday! Thanks again for your help.

Ho wow thank you Jeff it is now unofficially the year of the cleric. Please don’t dash my dreams too much.

Thanks, Jeff! Here are some thoughts on the changes:

I'm glad to see +2 Sacred Sling reprinted, not just because people have been asking for it, but because it opens the door to reprinting other UR tokens that are part of Legendary recipes.

Should you also remove the Auto-pass effect from the Bead of Whispers, or is that OK since it doesn't add healing/damage to the results?

The Boots seem pretty underwhelming now for a UR, especially since they are a tribute token. It's probably good though that you removed all the immunities from it, that might have hurt room designs.

Gauntlets of Divine Guidance look great for Clerics, and maybe Druids also.

Should you just say the robe grants bonus points to all spells and not just 1st-2nd? That would let it be incorporated into the party card. Maybe drop it to +3 to compensate?

This is a pretty big swerve from where we were, but I'm actually really happy with this and excited about the possibilities. Thanks for putting up with our complaining through the process.

Should the Sun Scimitar be a FoB not FOB weapon?

Gauntlets of Divine Guidance

Does this need to be strictly better than Gloves of Weapon Finesse? People only floated +2 to hit.

+2 Sun Scimitar

FOB still.

There are five new URs that increase spell damage (even if we expected one of them). While only some spells are affected by all of them, it's a lot of spell damage in a single year.

There are five new URs that increase healing (even if we expected one of them). While only some spells are affected by all of them, it's a lot of additional healing. I don't find spell-based healing to be underrepresented in the game currently.

More so for druids, perhaps, there may be a reason to push spell damage. Just seems extreme for one year.

I want to say that I really like the Ring of the Savant, and that it will really motivate my Wizard and Cleric friends to nail their skill checks! It's possibly one of my favorite items added.

I think it’s been 9 years since Weapon Finesse and last year’s Death Knight Gauntlets provide +2 hit and +2 damage. The gloves are only better in the hands of a cleric or druid and the druid is doing less damage by not using Death Knight.

It’s weapon finesse with a healing kicker.

Some time back, I almost bought gloves of weapon finesse, and then realized that cleric just can’t juggle Dex all that well. When I got to that frame of mind, gloves of the brute became the logical choice. +2.5 hit and damage vs +3 hit. For my cleric use case, it’s actually very difficult to round out Str without impacting healing, so brute effectively was +3 / +3.

For non Cleric melee use, other classes will find +3 / 0 more useful than +2. This is probably OK if we want anyone else to pyp the gauntlets.

Of course, I may be biased on this particular token…

Could put -1 DEX on the Gauntlets, though that's hardly a simple token.

Then it’s just worse Weapon Expertise for 10 classes.

You could make it worse for Cleric and Druid, but is that overly necessary?

I personally feel like Gauntlets of Divine Guidance is good, because it's not like Clerics are usually overflowing with to-hit bonuses anyways, especially in melee.
