Truth is I have basically felt the volunteer charms were pretty weak. The volunteer Ioun stones were in such a weak slot they were great by comparison.

I had no interest in the other volunteer charms this one I am actually interested in.

+1. Although combining 2 old ones into one might be too powerful. Maybe 2 stats and a hit or a damage possibly saves but saves can be strong

The More I look at it, the more silly Eldest looks next to Elder. I still suggest the following:

Grand Orb of Dragonkind (5 Pc), and Elder Orb of Dragonkind (8 Pc)
If we really wish to keep away from Grand then use Great instead, or shift to Elder and Supreme respectively.

If the effects have not yet been finalized, please just make the 8 a more powerful 5, and not something completely different. At the very least, include anything 5 can do in 8.

The name spacing on the tokens would be almost identical, making them less Off-looking from the regular Orbs. Still suggest making the Text color on these two match the back like with other Transmuted Tokens.

I’ve been thinking of how to deal with this in general, and like the idea of opposed rolls.

This could be implemented as:

player saves vs monster save +10

Or:

Monster saves vs player save +10

So if a player has +16 reflex, the monster would make a reflex save vs 26.

This would allow things to scale as higher geared players have higher saves.

Alternatively make monster save vs players ranged to hit +10

It’s a charm version of volunteer neck slot amulet of the hero/champion with 2 attributes instead of 3.

Maybe put this in a different, more restrictive slot: hands, boots.

I think either changing the slot or making it +1 STR / +1 DEX / +1 CON could work pretty well, it'd avoid combining the effects of two previous volunteer URs while still adding huge value to any builds which have two or more odd-numbered stats.

As much as I am thrilled to have the Turkey legs enshrined as Rare and UR tokens, I agree: They don't need to be *good* weapons, and certainly shouldn't be the *best* weapons. I'd be happy with a damage ring of all zeros with a single 1or 2, or all 1s / 2s.

...And as much as I am amused by the +4 Turkey Leg transmute, It's way over the top. I'd love to see that printed on a T-Shirt for the next Turkey leg run, and removed from the Transmute line-up to leave design space for some other cool transmute.

(Maybe Charm of the Champion would be a good Volunteer token Transmute at its current power level?)

I think that is a good suggestion. Maybe we open up Charm of the Champion as a transmute for the current last couple years volunteer charms. It lets volunteers use their Greater Quicksilver, Onyx, and Garnet Charms to get an even better goodie. There's enough of them floating in the open market to make this available to most players.

Maybe the Turkey leg Tokens could have all "1"'s for damage except at one position and then have something funny at that position, maybe a grease ball blob with a "20" or "25" damage.
