I think we've all got impressions on what the different classes should be doing. Sometimes these views align fairly well, and sometimes they are radically different. We can glean some of what is in Jeff's head by how the Legendary necks and other tokens have turned out. But I think it'd be quite useful to get a 1-2 sentence description from Jeff on how he sees each class and what role he wants them to fill. I'm thinking something similar to what he stated for Wizards late in last year's token design process (but hopefully a bit earlier in this year's process).

Would also be nice to get some confirmation on the direction the wizard (and other) class cards might be going in the future. There was mention of nearly doubling spell damage on the card at some point. It would be good to understand what changes are on the way so that can be taken into account as well, otherwise we're just designing in the dark

It seems that without a specific vision and expected play style for each class, the players tend to default each class's vision to doing damage. There are some exceptions to this but it looks to be the recurring pattern.

Which then log jams everything at design time because everyone is fighting over how to get my preferred class to do more damage.

Sometimes I'm not sure if Jeff is just really busy and doesn't have time to expound upon his thoughts. Or, is he so busy that his thoughts haven't coalesced into something he can coherently explain just yet? It might be a little of both, but I suspect the constant is that he is just really busy.

Yep, I know. It is just a request. I figure it doesn't hurt to ask. If we don't ask, he may not realize it is something we'd find useful.

A downside of Jeff giving a specific vision and expected playstyle for each class is that might tend to drive people that direction instead of letting them diversify according to what makes them happiest.

Some cards still have that text, but not all. And what is written doesn't give much guidance (other than that we should never care about giving Monks weapons).

The monk legendary says otherwise, only melee weapons to throw after that (fists and shuriken are not good enough).

Yes, the cards maybe aren't completely correct

Which ones don't?

Each of these has a 1 page description:

truedungeon.com/resources

The PDF they mailed out for VTD events doesn't include the backs, so is that what you're referring to?

The physical cards also don't have the textual backs any longer due to printing 4th on one side and 5th on the other.
