100% disagree, I love potion of leap attack exactly because it lets me not have to worry. Heck can we have a permanent version that doesn't take up a crippling slot (looking at you fizzy lifting).

At that point, just discontinue missile tokens?

Your being hyperbolic. By the same token, why not discontinue melee. Ranged can do anything melee can do, doesn't have to deal with retribution, frequently dungeons have a "no melee" monster, "no range" monsters what like once ever? dex also raises your defensive stats, "best" rogue build involves a crossbow, IOs is nuts, etc.

IMO as long as everyone can meaningfully participate in every room leap attack 1/room is just a different way to build.

Also compound weapons.

Further, in order to use the potion you miss a round of combat OR you must own another $100-$150 token; the Pouch of Tulz. There were years when I burned stacks of them and they were going for $3 - $5 a piece. For those reasons, it's not a light decision to go strong on melee or a free ability by any means.

On the other hand, most other damage types have had many tokens that reduce damage of that type. But this is one of the few that reduces darkrift. If we wanted something other than darkrift, I'd suggest another less-common type, like Acid or Poison.

Compound damage types need to stop happening. If the damage is supposed to be reducible but difficult, it should be half one type and half another (or some similar mix). And if it shouldn't be reducible, then just make it eldritch and be done.
