Treasure map, consume in coaching, you get +1 treasure marked on the party card if you are lv5 or below.

Blank spell scroll, consumable scroll, cast a spell from your card without marking it off.

These are cool ideas!

My annual suggestion: Potion of Gaseous Form. Consume to be cloud. Maybe make it a polymorph with Stinking Cloud damage

Fencing Cloak (Multi)

Usable by: Bard, Fighters, Rogue

+1 to saves
+1 to AC if melee offhand is empty

(Alternatively make this a multi-slot token of melee offhand and back and have it give +1 to saves and AC).

Uncommon: Gray Pearl Ring (Finger)

+1 to AC for each "Pearl" ring you wear
(You may not equip two identical items)

----

Part of a cycle of Common, Uncommon, Rare "Pearl" rings the other two of which are below. The idea is to help new players discover rarity differences and token synergies.

Common: Ivory Pearl Ring (Finger)
+1 to HP for each "Pearl" ring you wear
(You may not equip two identical items)

Uncommon: Gray Pearl Ring (Finger)
+1 to AC for each "Pearl" ring you wear
(You may not equip two identical items)

Rare: Black Pearl Ring (Finger)
+1 to Ranged Damage for each "Pearl" ring you wear
(You may not equip two identical items)

The Rare and Common seem about right. But currently AC in the Ring slot is +1 at Rare. And we just had an Uncommon Neck provide +1 AC and -1 Saves. This feels like a fairly large increase, having a Common and Uncommon ring provide +2 AC.

I'm not sure what uncommon neck you mean, do you mean +1 amulet of protection, which provides +1 ac and +1 saves?

I think +1 AC at rare on a ring needs to go, similar to how +1 AC at rare on a bracer went first to +1 AC and +1 HP, and then to your choice of:

+3 DEX & -1 STR
Or: +1 AC & +1 CON (Completion)
Or: +1 AC & +2 to Fort Saves

I think it's pretty impossible to square the power level of a +4 saves rare ring and a +1 AC rare ring as both being appropriate, and +1 AC being the top of the effect for AC.

Anyway - I'm more interested in TPTB considering a cycle like this than the specific attributes involved, so if it's too much by all means I hope they tone it down.

Woops. You're right. Not sure how I thought that was a minus. Concern withdrawn.

I like the idea of "sets" across rarities.

I could see multiple sets that one could conceivably open in their 10 pack.

Agreed on this. It's a nice intro to the concept of sets for newbies and having the URL on the token can drive them to the website where they can start to explore all the possibilities of sets and then we can get them well and truly addicted to tokens have more people to game with.

While I.like the idea, and where the effect would be useful (new or new-ish players), this feels like asking a lot of both newer players and/or DMs.

Yeah... good point.

Maybe a simpler way:

+1 smashing retribution damage?
