No worries at all on the wait. Appreciate the heads up!

TD should ship.my VTD3b stuff with my preorders.

You guys can't control a ship. What you already provide for us is nothing short of miraculous, we can wait a bit for the loot.

Sincerely! I really appreciate everyone being understanding about it. I wish I could control the ships, but I cannot. We discussed shipping the 3b swag with the preorders, but determined for several reasons that it will be easiest (and again, less prone to error) if we get the swag out the door and then start dealing with the preorders. We have some prep work that needs to be done before shipping can begin on the preorders. To do the swag, we need to locate two boxes of tokens (you know they'll be the last two at the bottom of a pallet), so John and I will work on the preorders while a few others get things unloaded and organized and prep for preorder shipping.

In the past we've hired a dozen or so high school kids to help with unloading and organizing the token order. With COVID concerns, we will likely be doing it ourselves, which will slow that process down as we're old and slow.

In the end, it really comes down to making the best decision with the information we have. We'll get the swag out, get the tokens organized and then start prepping for the preorder shipping. It's going to take us longer, but we'll get them done.

I was wondering, would it be possible to combine token orders with treasure in shipping. it would save money. some orders are to big for a small flat rate or 2, so they might be shipped in medium flat rate. that would make lots of wasted space, so why not add the two together. they will be arriving at the warehouse at the same time. you can somehow mark the difference between them.

Sad news, but not too surprising in this era and certainly not your fault in any way. The tokens will get here when they get here and I really appreciate the heads up.

We considered that extensively. However, in order to ship swag we need 2 boxes from the order. John and I can get those and get the swag out. The token orders will require considerable prep of organizing things, unpacking and putting URs away, etc...so much stuff to do before we can even start shipping. So, we're going to get the swag out the door while the prep work is being done and then jump in and help with the prep work and then start shipping. We will be shipping fools! Our poor postal lady...she's gonna be picking up a load from us daily for a while! Thank goodness she's a patient and kind woman!

I'm writing today to give you an unfortunate update. The TD Team sat down several months ago, after the 2021 tokens were ordered and in production, and planned out the 2021 adventures, including the participation tokens, volunteer tokens, and dates for events. When we did that, we were under the assumption that by placing our token order earlier than normal we would receive the order in December, allowing us plenty of time to prepare things for January's event.

Unfortunately we have been contacted multiple times with delays on our tokens. The shipment is off the coast, but due to COVID related issues, there are delays on ports accepting any in-bound ships. The update that we recently received was one we had HOPED would be details of the order being moved from port to customs. Sadly, our latest update was that our order is on a ship that is still waiting for clearance to move into port. As such, we have had to face the realization that the participation and volunteer tokens promised for this weekend's The Deadwill Mine adventure will not be here for us to begin shipping swag boxes next week.

We have debated several options and have come to the conclusion that the best thing to do now is to delay your entire swag box until the participation tokens arrive. We considered other options, including shipping part of the order and then sending a second shipment later or changing the participation token to one we have in stock, but we determined that delaying the entire shipment is the best thing to do for accuracy and (hopefully) player satisfaction. Honestly, these delays feel like another slap in the face from COVID. In all the years we've been doing this we've never had delays like this, even when we had a shipment come in to port during a longshoremen strike! I try to remember that everything happens for a reason, so hopefully there will be that "ah-ha" moment and we're all happy that it worked out this way.

As soon as we receive an update on the token ETA to TD HQ, I will update you!

As a small token of our appreciation for your patience and understanding, we will be adding 1 additional treasure draw for every ticket that you hold. When I run the report on Monday I will adjust your total treasure to reflect the additional treasure draw per ticket, however that new number will NOT be reflected in your td.events account. It will only show up on the report I run after the event is over.
