There, we'll want to pick up 8-10 of them. As a Feet slot item, it would be more like 1-2 (or not being mad to see it as a random UR or treasure draw).

Back slot is much more tempting for me as well, and a strong incentive to actively seek out Lucky Light Mail (currently on my list of "nice to have but not a budgetary priority")

Yes, my AC is lower than the Wizard's. No regrets!

Jeff, thanks for letting us participate again! Here are some comments:

I think +4 Rod of the Meek might really appeal to some newer players.

I really don't like the Bracelets of Power, it's much weaker than the +2 Staff of Power, and I'm concerned if this is printed that might push the +2 Staff of Power back years. The appeal of the +2 Staff of Power is that the ability is essentially slotless. If we want to open it up to more classes, why not make it a Tome of Power (or some other slotless token, or another +2 Weapon of Power that all the desired classes can use), that gives 1 1st level spell as a scroll per room. If it's a +2 Dagger of Power, it would give the spellcasters the bonuse spell as scroll, and all the other classes could still use it as a +2 Dagger. Maybe have it not stack with +2 Staff of Power?

Does Charm of Brewmaster mean you can drink a potion as free action every round as long as in each room you do all different potions? If so, that's pretty neat.

I'm very glad to see Earcuff of Orbits, Shield of the Scholar, and Mithral Gauntlets (functional) reprinted.

Jinn's Magebook used to be very appropriately powered, letting you choose five scrolls and cast them as one of your first level spells. That was a very powerful item, letting you tailor your additional spells for each Dungeon. But, actually giving five new first level spells is completely broken. That doubles the number of first level spells, which is way too powerful. Plus, given that the Wizards were given access to the Shaman's Belt, the Druid should have access to this spell book UR.

I'm glad the +3 Saves is back to the Cloak Slot. It would be great if the +4 Cloak Transmute were available again as well.

I think "lvl" needs to be added to the description of Necklace of Prayer Beads "2nd Lvl Spells". It seems too powerful to make all 2nd Level spells instant actions. What happened to tokens having to be nerfed just a couple of years ago because healing was too powerful, and now this lets the Cleric cast two healing spells with full bonuses per turn. It would be great if this addressed something else, like enhancing Turn Undead. At least it's not giving a bunch of new spell slots like Jinn's.

Pants of Focus is great.

I really don't like all classes getting scroll reading ability with Psyferre's Spectacles. It really blurs the classes. The only way I can figure out this is being made is to increase usage of consumable scrolls.

I like Ring of the Siren, I think scrolls and wands need to get more bonuses until they are more viable as builds. Polymorph needs to be enhanced as well, can this give +2 to Polymorph as well as wands and scrolls? That seems appropriate since they are all consumables.

Thanks!
Mike

Jinn's intent is to give more options for 1st level spells but not more spells. Jeff posted this a page back or so.

I like this idea and one could do cleric medallion for the same or bard medallion for the same in future sets.

The key would be to keep them in the same slot across classes. So wizard is neck. That makes the others neck also.

I like the change to the Hat, it’s way better now. (If unchanged on my buy list)

I don’t think the set needs Stu’s and sweetwoods seems like a one or the other in the set would be better. I would vote sweetwoods to stay in the set personally.

I love the gloves of the dire boar (If unchanged on my buy list)

Like the +4 rod of the meek
Seems like a great token for the players that is buying a 250 pack as there main collection

Thanks for letting me know, that's what I get for not reading through all the comments. Either the wording on the token is confusing or I just did a poor job of interpreting it, so I'm glad that's not the case. I still think the Druid should have access also. I also agree with you that giving the Cleric this ability would be better than having 2nd level spells as instants. You could even do a single UR with that ability for Clerics, Wizards, and Druids and free up a UR slot for something else.

Agree it could be done that way and keeping it on one UR will keep the slot consistent and locked in across the board. This would allow different spell casting classes (main spell casting classes) have more flexibility across the board and could result in interesting choices for what slot it is designated for.

FYI, clerics won’t have spells as instant action, but as free action. It also doesn’t change the total healing either - I suppose you could cast 2 heals per combat round but who does that? Use your action for restore Spell soothe wounds and equip linked shirts, keys of healing and agate orbs all around. Bam, instant 100 HP.

I like the Rod of the Meek.

I agreed with Ian's comment that changing it to STR must be less than or equal to 18 makes it a more fun build-around puzzle solving type token, but I'm happy to see this effect in the world in either iteration.

It’s 27 hp minimum with a cleric and a 5th level bard set for soothe wounds. I can’t think of a shirt better than that... most give you, what, +1 hit and damage or 5hp or less?

Thanks for the correction - I meant Free Action. Our Cleric would absolutely cast two healing spells in a combat turn.

Sure we might cast two healing spells a turn but will run out of them in the dungeon just as fast. The token does not increase healing output at all. Just lets you batch the spells. It's not as OP in the healing sense. We want it to be able to cast Prayer every round and then slide, or something like that.

It's much better than having a holy symbol UR that is used once per game to do like 30 damage to a monster and take your only copy of your best heal spell. That was unusable and would just serve to be transmuted to relics. Which is the argument for the wizard book.
