I JUST came up with a great Tomb of Terrors token idea

The Head Slot Token would Grant an Intelligence boost and allow the wearer the ability to get the Rogue Clue from each room for free, or with a Planes check, etc.

The Mainhand Weapon would have an INT requirement to use, add damage to spells, and be used when spells are slid on the table, with a damage wheel added to the spell's base damage. A 20 would add even more damage, kind of like a sneak attack.

I think we should keep rogue boxes for the rogue.

If it were: wearer of this crown may get the rogue clue after the rogue has opened the box" that would be ok probably.

The idea of a spell slide boosting weapon is neat - it should be designed to include clerics though.

On the other hand I think it would be super cool to reach into a rogue box and feel an actual crown. Honestly knowing the source material I would be scared to touch it.

I get why you would say that. For me, the Rogue is about treasure, and this gives Intelligence a point.

You *could* make a separate clue for the people wearing this head slot - but that's extra work.

In my conception, any caster could use the Weapon with the Head slot. So maybe 18 or 20 INT or WIS

Alternately, make the Weapon a simple ALL hand weapon with its normal damage wheel, with the spell damage bonus, but only able to use it for slid spells when combined with the Head slot item, etc. OR

You should be apprehensive about touching anything in that module.

Not touching things will also kill you... I might need some extra ticks for that module to ensure room7...

On the one hand, it would be cool to make use of all the speak with dead stuff that's not too common anymore.

And if the dungeon came with an "extra deadly" warning, it might be cool.

But it would suck to have lots of people dying in room 1 and then marching for an hour in silence.

Bring mushrooms. Lots of mushrooms.

I was in the 2nd successful Epic Grind. We used around 12 mushrooms and a wish ring. 3 players were alive at the end.

Sure, but if I'm not mistaken this is meant to be a normal module for all players at all difficulty levels, not an Epic challenge or a Grind.
