Guess adding more on top of depending on what class is using a consumable determines whether it is turned in or not or how many times it can be used is not much more.

I hope the wizard relic stays away from wand related abilities....after the mess with MoMM and the fact that that item is already used in a relic transmute.

Im going to sugggest relic/legenday wizard items to add more variety of spells. My thought was having a few 'school' cards with a minor ability related to the school and a few spells. The relic lets you choose one school card to get in addition to your regular character class card, and the legendary lets you choose two (non-conflicting) school cards plus some other small bonus (+int & dex maybe).

Yes, there would be a lot of work up front to balance multiple school cards, but it would add so much variability and customization to wizards. And if any of the school spells needed to change in the future, it is much easier to modify them quickly vs reworking the class cards...and even if there was complaint that evocation got nerfed, there will be other schools to choose from (presumably they wont all get nerfed at the same time).

What would people think if part of the Wizards' neck slot Legendary was "May also equip either Amulet of Wonder or Medallion of Mystic Mouth"?

Specifically I was thinking:
+3 Damage with spells, scrolls, wands, and spells cast as scrolls. May cast a 0-level spell as a scroll 1/room. May also equip either Amulet of Wonder or Medallion of Mystic Mouth.

Why not just do something simple like letting scrolls be cast as spells (modifable) say 1/room on the relic infinitely on the legendary. Consumables stay consumable, we dont mess with momm, scrolls provide as much variety as we care to invent, and if we mess up balancing something the scrolls eventually work their way out of circulation just like the wands would.

If we wanted a secondary power it could he something like every 2 int starting from 12 adds +1 spell damage.

I like this but the primary power would be the bonus based on INT (so it actually has a usage which I REALLY desire) and the scroll stuff is the secondary ability.

And 2x as much precedent to have class based legendaries have no interaction with consumables at all.

The Druid one makes some sense to me as "master shapeshifter" - which is dorky fun: the Druid would rather slide their legendary for the damage, so the shapeshifting ability is just for RP / creativity reasons.

I would think a comparable Wizard ability would be something like: You may cast an Arcane scroll that targets caster only without turning it in as a standard action during combat only.

This idea has the added bonus of essentially allowing two power wizards in the group at any time. The schools would not need to be unique either, the new card could just be a wizard card, elf or human wizard getting the new card when they equip the token in the neck slot. Relic vs legendary would be interesting, but the idea on whole could be very inspiring. It would also lead to interesting conversations about to double dip the legendary in a party, or to keep the standard class card for either the human wizard or elf wizard and have the other upgrade for the diversity of spells. I think two unique cards would be more painful to implement.
