New players are not wanting to spend 100$ plus on TEs, while making a transmute with at least 3 of any rare TEs while theyre like 5 a piece, so more affordable for new players, and are more likely to play more when theyre getting 5-6 treasures instead of 3, while not spending 100+ for 1 TE and not having money to actually do runs, when they could spend 20$ and play 2 runs for 120$ (not gencon)
Just my opinion

This provides the +2 with a rare TE. So gets them 5.

That charm is a +1 only, what im saying is that charm is WAY to costly for the limitedness. And probably to exspensive for new players. I thinking about helping new players and ways to attract business, with cheaper tokens to hook the new players

Please explain how you are defining it as way too costly?

What i mean by costly is 4 trophies which average like 8.50 then the ingrediants like 11 for all 3 your looking close to 50$ basically for a new player who doesnt know if they even want to continue playing, its alot just for +1,
Everything im posting to the 2020 developement is with new players first in mind, not what benifits NM players

My main concern with any non-UR TE option that gives +2 or more treasure chips is that it might discourage people from buying UR TEs, which could impact token sales. Why would someone spend $250 on a token order to get a TE UR when they can get the same or better treasure chip bonus from a cheaper option?

I don't know what the price of 2018 trophies are. I am surprised they are that much, but I will take your word for it. I can tell you it will be cheaper to buy the finished product that the individual components. How do I know this? If you want to buy one I will sell you one $30 after WYC.

Transmutes are a year behind. Except for story arc transmutes (Bead) they always seem to use trophies from the year before. It would be more newbie-friendly if they could use current year trophies to make things immediately instead of coming back next year.

Well, they probably won't buy a 250 order when you can order a UR TE from the various tokens sites for 100 (ish). On top of that, most of the money for TE is not going to go to TD anyway, but to the token sites. With only one TE in print, if the new player in question wants to actually pull a reasonable amount of treasure (around 12), they are going to need to pickup: Gold Nugget, Silver Nugget (small markup from 3rd party site), AoTF (huge markup from 3rd party site) and possible a charm of good fortune (huge markup)

But, stepping beyond that, what harm is there in allowing the newbie to get 5 or 6 total draws without having to invest in a UR? In an ideal world, to really bridge the treasure gulf for the new players, a transmute TE should stack to a limited degree. For example, a new transmute TE should stack with all of the Nuggets - even if this transmute token gives +3 TE and they buy a silver and gold nugget, that leaves the new player at 10 treasure pulls, and they can look forward to another stacking TE with the Platinum nugget. With current releases, that's less than half of a Vet's pulls until they get the Platinum nugget, and if they've gone in for 3 nuggets, you probably have them hooked for buying UR.

Given just how restrictive the Charm of Treasure Boosting is, it should have been 1 uncommon completion token and 1 monster bit - something a newbie could possibly make after their first run. That kind of price would also likely land it at less than $10, so if they can't use it after they buy their second UR TE, no big deal.

This is a fantastic point. If nothing else, it would be nice if the enhanced transmutes were current year....

I agree that would be a good thing. Currently Charm of Treasure Boosting is the only transmute that does that, but I would like to see that pattern applied to all light blue transmutes.

I refuse to accept your idea is bad because of “sales.” I actually argued (unsuccessfully) along those lines last year.

However: every token comes from Jeff. I needed one more UR for a client, so I gave Jeff 250 to get a UR that I sold for 100. That’s 250 Jeff wouldn’t have gotten, and I’m stuck with 300 “regular” tokens I didn’t necessarily want.

So yes, buying a UR from a reseller doesn’t put money directly into Jeff’s pocket, but it gets there nonetheless.

I agree completely, I feel when I'm buying PYPs that it contributes to TD because it helps generate token orders from the people that sell PYPs.

Regarding why someone would place a $250 order instead of just buying the PYP for $100, they may want to get all the Token packs plus any order incentives (if they place a big enough order), plus the chance at a bonus PYP or Golden ticket. Plus, it's a lot of fun to open and sort packs. :)

It's happened many times. :)

No it hasn’t!

LoL just kidding, of course it has. There’s just one topic that we may never see eye to eye.

You've got a lot of great ideas, and a lot of passion for TD. We just differ a bit regarding that one topic. :)
