I could see the CoAS replacing the staff for sure, if everyone wanted to use them.

Edit: NM bosses seem to have gotten some initiative bonuses recently, so just rolling well may not be enough.

I could swap in a COAS for the Kilt. If the entire party wore one it would only cost me 5 hp, but the initiative boost could be worth it.

Unless everyone is using rod and voucher or skipping eldritch and going RoH or CoH to get their lvl bump I don’t know that we could go all CoAS. I was looking at Fiddy’s Bard build for example. Give up cloak of blending? no. Widseth Legendary? No. He has 2 eldritch for the last 2. That gets him his level bump.

Are we doing 7 tokens or 8? Because the more recent builds seem to be going 8. That Bard build was only 7.

Good catch. That is very valid we should defintitely decide on if this is 8 or 7 and finalize that soon....lol.

I was under the impression that many had decided that to try to run 7 would be too difficult.

I think we should plan for 8 tokens total. 3 TEs and any 5 you would like.

Given that, the merits of CoAS are a discussion to have.

I also have completely come around on Alertness. Even if we have an Elf Wizard, we the staff only gives us +10 twice, as one can be cast from the card.

I am going through the entire thread and recording all the suggested builds in one location

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lIB85lGbsLSyg4N9rstIXrwI8GNdh_QfSR0K17RgC8k/edit?usp=sharing

Anyone should be able to edit any of these as they think of them. I just wanted them in one location to look at. I likely will rearrange it after I get them all logged.

I think I have them all. I don't have edits or suggestions added because I wasn't re-reading everything just looking for the obvious builds. I will put each class on its own tab so they can be compared easily.

Bumping this. After looking at the builds looks like we could fit CoAS in almost all of them. Cleric and Druid would be the 2 that would be the most difficult to fit it into, imo.

If we make it ranged, Ranger could do it.
If not, it would be tough.

Unless we switch to elf wizard.

If we go this route, we still need 5th level, and weapons or armor or whatever.

Maybe Cleric and druid go?
cloak of blending
Lenses
Ring of heroism
Baton

This gives up Relsa's, which means 5 less healing or damage per spell

Maybe we use 8 CoAS instead of 10? Is that good enough to justify them?

Paladin gives up 6 AC or a weapon
Barbarian gives up 7 Strength?

Rogue could be
Rod of Persuasion
? Necklace
Bracers?
Armor?

Bard
Cloak of blending
Widseths legendary
?
?

Wizards
Boots
Drake's
SRoEC or Kilt
Relsa's

For Cleric and Druid I would give up Cloak of Blending, first. If they have a weapon, they are sliding aren't they? If they have damage spells they are using them aren't they? Then the CoB doesn't work.

This the Barbarian build I am looking at
+5 Deathcleaver
Ro7P(voucher)
Surtrs Girdle of Fire Strength
Gloves of Weapon Finesse (or Mithral Gauntlets)
CoAS

Take a look at the spreadsheet. Most of the suggested builds are only using 4 tokens. Not all but most are.

Did I miss a spreadsheet somewhere?

I was thinking Cleric and Druid would only slide or attack if absolutely necessary in the later rounds, and be protected/buff in earlier ones. I don't have a strong preference either way. Barbarian would definitely work as described.
The plan was also to have the Bard use the Ro7P voucher I believe
