I would like to say the ticket transfer system seem to be working fine. I have had one ticket transferred to me without incident.

Edit: now I have had 3 tickets transfer fine.

transfer a ticket, go to the event's details page while signed into your account. The event's details page can be accessed from the [Event Finder] or from your Schedule. Click on your name in the upper right corner of any page and scroll down to see your schedule.

In the Ticket Selection Sidebar on the right side of the Event's details page, if a box is checked indicating that you have a ticket for the event, you will see a "Transfer Ticket" button at the bottom of the sidebar. Selecting that button will take you to a page with a list of your friends and family. Select the person you want to transfer a ticket to and then select the "Submit" button.

So I transferred a couple of tickets but the target account can't see anything indicating that a ticket has been transferred.

I didn’t get a notice but when I pulled up my schedule I could look at the events and see the ones someone else added. You just need to know what the other person is sending and look for that specific event on the schedule because it’s not marked in any way.

Same here. A friend transferred a ticket to me. I couldn't see anywhere that it was a transfer, but now the event is showing in my schedule.

It seems that the constraints on ghosting are only letting the desk know how many. Previous constraints have been removed?

If this is not entirely correct, then transferring tickets may not work for those who plan on ghosting.

I'm not following?

True Dungeon has a policy: no more than 5 ghosts.

Gen Con has a technology: True Dungeon may redeem any number of tickets owned by one badge holder.

The Gen Con technology does not override the True Dungeon policy.

What problems do you see with regard to transfers and ghosting?

I've run in a snag, hopefully there is a work-around.

I own two full runs and on each of them I have tried to transfer three tickets to a single person, who will in turn, give to two of their friends. It let me transfer the first to tickets easily, but when I try to transfer the third, I get:
1 error prohibited this ticket transfer from being saved
There were problems with the following fields:
  • Recipient Event TDAxxxxxxxx: has been purchased for friend soandso the maximum amount of times.

Any suggestions?
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I wonder if this restriction will also affect in person check-ins (person already has 2 transferred to him by the same person... same person scans badge first then the other person scans theirs.... limit exceeded)

Word on the street is you can only transfer 2 tickets per person...not sure why.

1) A ticket transferred no longer appears on the original purchasers list of tickets.

2) To ghost you must control all 10 tickets.

3) You no longer have a record showing control.

If you don't need all 10, then I want the ability to ghost with only have 6 of 10 tickets on a run.

No suggestions, but I will be pushing against this limit before 9am (or at 10:30am for a 10:26am run) on Thursday at GenCon and then again several more times on Thursday.

I have kept all 10 tickets on my badge to be able to show traceability because once you transfer the ticket no longer shows on your side.
