So, now that weve spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on these tickets; anyone know how the electronic tickets will work?

Example: i bought a full run for our group, do i have to stand out at check-in until all 10 players show up? Do we all have to show up at the same time?
What if one person is doing back-to-back runs and will show during coaching? Formerly, they would have taken their ticket (which i would give them on wednesday) and check in for both runs before the first starts.

What about the grind that we got in my wifes cart? She isnt going on the grind, i am.

This caused some confusion our my group as well. Combined with some miscommunication, someone will end up eating $39 in administrative fees to return some tickets.

Yes, but they can show up in groups and enter the Coaching Room -- but the buyer has to wait for all to show up.

We gotta scan the buyer's badge AND other player's badge a second time at the front desk, so plan accordingly.

Technically this should have never been possible because of GEN CON policy. We'll work it out somehow, but her badge will need to be there to redeem ANY tickets she bought for TG.

Question - if we have back to back runs, and I'm not the buyer, can the buyer and me check in for both back to back runs at once, or do we both have to exit the gaming area and check in before both runs?

So for back to back runs.

Can the first, second, third, etc. be scanned in multiple times before the first in order to avoid stopping in between the back to back runs?

Example: at 8am get scanned in for 8:30am, 10:30am and 12:30pm runs. That way folks can go from one run to the next.

Sorry, I don't know yet. It all depends on how Gen Con has the system set up -- and how far in advance they let you scan in tickets. I'd bet it won't allow something 2 hours in advance. Perhaps we can have a scan station inside the Coaching Area for folks. We will know more in June when we get to beta test the system.

Hang on!

There is some info here, but certainly not all the answers: www.gencon.com/attend/e-ticketing

One thing of note which may resolve Kent's issue of the ticket being in his wife's name:

In your Gen Con account, you will be able to give individual E-Tickets to anyone on your Friends list. (Not implemented yet, so details TBD)

Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

Jeff, major question. Read through what they had there.

My problem I see. I did the "Buy one for my self, and buy "X" more" without using the buy one for a "Friend" as many in our group are not linked on the Gencon site. I in past years have simply handed them their tickets.

Um... how will it work for me in my situation this year?

Hmm...then it looks like you can virtually distribute tickets to party members so the original buyers does NOT have to be there for every player. Good to know.

As someone who frequently does back to back runs, I hope something is worked out. It was very convenient in past years to check-in for multiple runs at the same time. Although I'm not sure a scanner in the coaching area will be the answer as we'll still need our wristbands and starter bag of tokens. At least I generally have at least 24 minutes between runs this year, so I'll manage.

This will be news to a lot of people. I know some tickets were bought with a different understanding.
