TOPIC: Need Players: EPIC Moongate Combat Sat @ 3:48PM

First post updated. Still need players for this and my earlier run.

I have a friend, Escher (Eric) who is interested in joining us as a cleric.

My apologies to all, but my wife has had some pregnancy complications which will keep her in the hospital until she delivers, sometime in the next 9 weeks.

Given that, I can hardly make a trip out of town.

I might be able to find a replacement for myself.

I'm considering this... and I usually play Rogue...
But, what is EPIC even?!?

EPIC, as in, more lethal than nightmare?
or
EPIC, as in, a run which will go down in infamy because of some random hilarity.

You know... I guess as long as my ghost survives to see the last room, its a fun time.

Now... why is no-one taking Rogue... hmmm?
Is there something I should know? Like instant death if I touch a treasure chest wrong?
Is it the low HP? Does the Barbarian kill the rogue for treasure? Should I just start with a cloak to speak as a ghost?

I played Moongate maze just once last year. Puzzle side. I would need some help on this.

EPIC is generally code for telling the room DMs to just go full crazy mode so really anything can happen depending on what your DM comes up with in the moment. If your ok with downright flagrant levels of death I strongly recommend it, it truly is quite fun.

Now all that said the reason no one is playing the rogue (other then personal class preference of course) is likely that they suck in combat (and I say that as someone who plays a rogue myself) combine that with the fact that most people on this run may already know the clues and...

I only have 1, maybe 2 potions of death's door, and I'd really like to avoid getting escorted out a side door for a TPK.

Do we still have an Eric playing as a Cleric?
I've never even seen those Cleric beads up close myself.

I'll play whatever class keeps the party alive longer.
looks like the remaining classes are Cleric, Fighter, Monk, Rogue.
I have a ring of heroism.
If I play rogue, I'll be sneak attacking, then Flanking if it helps, and I'll take the treasure (you know the clue right?).

I believe I can join this event if you want me to. Would prefer Monk but I bet you are going to want me to play Cleric

I've committed. I'm definitely less equipped. Mostly rares.

I won't arrive until mid-day Saturday.

Still not sure which class I'll get, so I planned a build for all of my chars today.
