The cost of getting the sets out there and the cost of being at SDCC might not make it a killing. I agree it would likely be very popular.

I think the cost and logistics of SDCC make it pretty prohibitive. Space would definitely be an issue. But yes. It would be popular and if u can guarantee a downtown hotel room you would have no shortage of volunteers. Those are more expensive and harder to get than GC.

I would love to have TD at WonderCon Anaheim. However, I hope TD never, ever goes to San Diego Comic Con. That would be a Nachtmahr.

TD should go to Dragon Con. It is a huge con but it isn't a huge price for the convention to be there. I was just a guest and one of the convention planners asked if I knew any True Dungeon people so they certainly have heard of us and have interest in our being there.

I wonder if Dragon Con's chronological proximity to Gen Con makes it impractical.

My wife, the Disney fanatic, would be fine with more TD for me if it meant more Disney for her.

Is later this month and Disneyland is right next door.

Sdcc is mid July. www.comic-con.org/cci

The big con in Orlando is: Megacon , though it is more of a costuming, comic/anime, see famous people type con. Huge crowd (on the level of Gencon) every year but gaming is a footnote.

Dice Tower Con is way too small for TD, though it would be a good fit for the audience.

DragonCon would be a good fit, but it tends to be a few weeks after Gencon every year.

Ok my 2 cents (sorry of any of this is a repeat but I phased out around page 6 and just started looking for Jeff posts)


Xp at other conventions = over all cool, though Im still in favor of a yearly cap since it
a) makes the game feel less play to win (it already sucks feeling like your locked out of patron events/dragon orbs/etc)
b) keeps levels under control since we have a hard enough time thinking up rewards anyway.


My main concerns about asteral adventure granting xp this year is ticket availability. It would suck to book the trip and not be able to get a ticket (plus some folks might have already put in for vacation etc)


Doing something like xp up until lv5 or capping the top 2 levels only really serves to punish the mid level players.

Honeatly Id like to see the too player page allow for some querying options like going beyond 100 players or filtering by class.

Would filtering by class work? Many people play multiple classes, and I don't think class info is even inputted into the XP system.
