This is a very generous offer! Thank you for that.

I know Jedi, Fiddy and I won't have a 2017 voucher available. It is unknown if 2018 vouchers will be available at Origins or not.

I am inclined to agree that a guaranteed lockdown is not something we would pass up.

The question would become, which one?

We could also have everyone use their medallion of mystic mouth wand free action or shield of the scholar scroll free action before someone using their standard action to lock down automatically.

I don't honestly remember whether the Draccus could be critically hit or not. If it can, then the Druid Summoner can daze it. If it cannot, the Elf Wizard Illusionist is the only auto lockdown, assuming the Draccus was vulnerable to force damage, which I believe it was.

Bracers of the Guided Strike negate crit immunity and does not specify being limited to any particular attack type.

Unfortunately the spell says:
"Summon Swarm: If target can be criticaled, it is Dazed* on its next turn
*Victim cannot move nor tanke any actions, but AC is not altered"

I can see the rules interpretation going either way on that one with tokendb.com/token/bracers-of-guided-strike/

"The wearer is able to affect critical hits creatures that are normally immune to critical hits (e.g., constructs, oozes, plants, undead, etc.) They also allow rogues to perform a sneak attack on creatures that are normally immune to being sneak attacked."

I would like it to be true, but I am not sure I would interpret that as being quite the same. If the monster cannot be criticaled, the token allows the wearer to bypass that ability, but doesn't negate the ability itself. It would be a rule I would want clarification on before taking that chance, particularly given that the lockdown and killing of said monster is the entire goal of the run.

That said, it absolutely might work the way you mentioned, in which case all my worrying would be for nothing.

Or even better, the Draccus might be susceptible to criticals already, in which case all of this is moot.

I did, which is why I asked about which class to use, and asked about the draccus being susceptible to force damage.

If it were immune to force damage, I believe it would also not be dazed by Prismatic Spray.

Ok, I looked it up. The draccus can be criticaled, and is not immune to force damage.

Also, on NM, it is listed at 1000 HP.

So, do we want Druid or Elf Wizard for the auto lockdown? Or can we get both?

Hey, whatever works. :)

Whom do I pay and how much?

EDIT: My vote's for the Elf Illusionist. It locks and does damage at the same time, and it seems to me that every bit of damage will help here.

Sorry Wade, missed the post about force damage. Yes, we should be fine with either and probably the only reason to bring both is in case "someone" tweaks the module. ;-)

Well, as our goal is to kill "a" nightmare draccus, I would still count that as a success.

I don't think any monster have ever been immune to force damage, at least not yet.

I guess the question would be whether we should take 2 auto locks, or one and the bard troubador for increased bardsong if we have 2 vouchers.

Edited for typos when originally posted from my phone.

To my knowledge we have one voucher (from Hawk) and only one. I don't believe anyone has chimed in as having a second.
