After you've read the VTD FAQ and you still have questions regarding how a token or skill will be used in VTD, please post those questions here.

Please limit your questions to in-game effects. There are already threads for out-of-game questions.

Thank You
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

My cellphone is a flip phone and therefore I can't use apps. The dice is an option for us old folks stuck in the time of morse code.

Not saying anybody should have to, but there are some alternatives to having a smart phone with a data plan that probably would work with an app.

Very low end smart phones are sub $50, and would support connecting just to existing wifi so there wouldn't be a need to sign up for a plan. I'd bet the app is simple enough that it has pretty low resource usage and probably doesn't need a particularly recent version of android.

There are emulators to run on PC that would allow loading an android app.

Just sharing some options that might be interesting for some of the flip phone crowd, not recommending those be the only solutions.

Emulator is not a bad idea actually, though it will take up real estate on your monitor (unless have more than one).

How will ring of lone justice work, since it requires only a single person to slide a 20?

I assume it triggers if only a single person rolled a 10?

you are so lucky. my phone is still connected to the wall.

seriously, if 2 people are in the same group and go to each others house, could they just use the same computer/connection?

2 people In the same room could absolutely use one screen.

As for dice, etc, I dont know that answer

Yep. It was also mentioned that you'll want to get accustomed to the Mute Mic option on Zoom. Since both of you will be in front of one screen, it stands to reason that you'll have the volume turned up slightly higher. That can cause echoing for everyone else on the run.

Typically when I use Zoom, I leave the microphone on the laptop muted. To temporarily un-mute the microphone (to talk to the rest of the group), I just need to hold the space bar.

Just got the updated app (looks great btw). Traditionally saving throws have been made once for the enter party when it something affect the entire party. Is the plan continue that method or to have everyone do individual rolls with the saving throws button? Or just have one person roll the D20 in the app and then have the DM calculate like usually?

Looking forward to seeing how the memory tests for spells will work. A question we will have to answer in the app, or directly to the DM?

Based on the current version of the app. It looks like DM. Attack rolls and spells have been added but there isn't anything about skill checks.
