I’m sticking with Orion’s Belt - the last character in the image is a “t’ where Druegar is messing with us by masking off the crossing bit of the letter. It’s too short to be a lowercase ‘L’ - it would be as high as the “B” as in “Belt of Ogre Mage Power”. He wants to perpetuate the possibility that it is still “Orion’s Bell”.

If you zoom in, you can see where the bottom of the “t” and the cross but I’d the “t” would be.

Agreed it is a "t". "l"'s don't have that tail (that has been cut off in the image) in the font used on tokens.

Orion's Belt makes perfect sense to me.

Especially when put in the context of the "Three Stars" part of the riddle, since the constellation features the 'belt' that consists of Mintaka, Alnilak and Alnitam.

In the context of the Kingkiller books, Orion Publishing Group is the publisher.

In the context of Scandinavian mythology (since we've been on a Scandinavian kick with TD), the three stars are known as "Frigg's Distaff" or "Freyja's Distaff". In the context of Finnish folklore, it's called Väinämöinen's Belt.

There's many, many names for the constellation.

The phrase "bronze hand" also stirs to mind references to Tiwaz/Tyr, as the maimed god lost his hand to Fenrir and it is believed that he is somewhat related linguistically to the Thracian deity Sabazios who used a bronze hand as a symbol of worship.

Just a few thoughts that sprung to mind on this riddle for me.

I'm not starting that. If we took a shot every time he did that, we'd all be dead of alcohol poisoning ;)

Maybe it relates to a place where druegar likes to get his burritos at?

Some vender that is at a cornfield
Chipotle
La salsa
Poquito mas

What? Druegar messing with us?
How could you say such a thing? How could you even think it?!?!

Okay, yeah.... My money is on that explanation, too. Druegar probably hasn't gone through his supply of popcorn yet and wants to use it up before GenCon, so he's just toying with us, and watching the show.

PS: Excellent work with the font comparison, folks. That had been my plan as soon as I saw the l/t, but I was too tired to look into it that late at night.

So mention of 3 stars could be tied to the 3 stars in orion’s Belt. The lettering also lines up with the sample image which now shows stars in the image which would again lean towards orion’s Belt. Then the mention of a hand of bronze in the riddle and a story of Orion who wielded a club of solid bronze in his hand. A lot of similarities there.

I didn’t see any stories that mentioned anything special about his belt or him breaking it. That part could easily be tied to a background for the token being created by Jeff/Druegar.

In the end whether it relates or not it doesn’t change where we are currently leaning towards. I was just saying it added to the weight of the token being related to Orion.

Also remember, Orion was the Hunter in mythology. The constellation includes him and his two dogs Cannis major and minor following him. Orion boasted he would rid the Earth of wild animals angering Gaia (Gaea). She sent a giant scorpion after him that his arrows couldn't pierce. Orion jumped into the sea to save himself but was killed when his friend, Artemis, was tricked into shooting at a black object in the sea that turned out to be Orion. Although Artemis begged the gods to bring Orion back to life, they refused. Artemis, instead, put a picture of Orion in the sky so she could always see him - thus, the constellation Orion.

Perhaps the fragments are a hint as to what it to come for the next adventure, and all of the fragments are just used as bits?
