So I guess an ancillary discussion, if it is indeed a Relic Belt, what would its power be? Spellcasters don't have a great transmuted belt yet and that would fit more thematically that it would be something for casters. +3 spell damage? Maybe also grants Night Vision as was brought up much earlier?

Or, it could be called Orion's Belt, but not actually worn on the waist. Maybe it's like some slotless mystical stardust... or something.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

If you take away everything but the dots and rotate it a bit you could possibly draw out the constellation for Orion's Belt. I could also be reading way too much into it. :)

I believe someone refrenced that it may be that they are stars. That they starred in roles which may be a reference to Orion's Belt.

Someone tried to to match them to constellations but was unsuccessful as I recall. Not saying that they aren't stars, but it has been tried and wasn't able to work.

If they were stellar stars, not movie stars I don't know why you would have Gordon Jump. Jump to the stars? The placement of the stars along certain aspects of the images makes me think that wasn't a clue and even less likely stellar stars.

I feel a bit like I may be reading too much into this, but I'll share it just in case. I did the following to the image:
  • Deleted everything except the teal dots
  • Added a black background
  • Rotated the image 90 degrees counter clockwise
  • Enlarged some of the blue dots to be white to highlight the pattern I was seeing
  • Connected with yellow lines

Seeing the theory around Orion's Belt made me want to try to find the pattern in there so it is entirely possible that is all this could be.

It allows you to frobulate as a Free Action once per round.

I don't have past experience with this whole mystery thing, but I would imagine the item would have some kind of stat(s) that would benefit all classes. It would be disappointing so say those that play melee main characters to acquire all fragments to have it turn into a caster item they can't use. But, like I said I don't have past experience so maybe that's what will happen.

My advice is to not speculate on the stats of a possible token. That will likely only lead to frustration when its not the super cool thing you thought of.

Instead just enjoy the fun puzzle that they made for us.

In men in black Orion’s Belt was around a cats neck so maybe it is a neck item .

I can't think of a single class that wouldn't benefit from a free frobulation.

I'm afraid to look up the definition of frobulation

frobulation:

the technical term for the combined effects of server load and stress, packet loss, line noise and intermittent hardware otherwise known as "lag". frobulate, frobulated.

Not seeing how we would benefit from lag, Druegar...

This was a long thread to catch up on...reminds me of the riddles from 2010, when I first got to do TrueDungeon.
