Hey, friends - if it helps assuage your worries at all, your newly minted Director of Event Ops has a heavy tech background, including application development. You can rest assured that we'll be putting their software and our tech through the ringer. ;)

We have heard some good and promising remarks about how the ticketing system will work. Let's hope it all comes to pass, and we should be fine in August.

I will update you guys more once I get to try out the demo in June.

IMO push for a parallel run. If we can run the digital process along slide the old paper ticket process and handle all the ways people want to use their tickets then we'll know we are covered and can drop the paper component.

Also a genuine heartfelt thanks to everyone at TD for all the work you're putting into the new ticketing system dealing with issue before they become issues.

I imagine if more than 10 was put on a run (for whatever reason) it would be using generics as you shouldn't have more than 10 ticket for any given event. The use of generics for electronically ticketed events should have its own test but I imagine it is just someone turns in the generics same as before electronic tickets. But who knows.

I don't think there was ever any question about the intentions or capability of the TD team.

The initial responses by the Gen Con staff to questions were far short of reassuring. That was what fueled the fire.
