NEWEST! Rules on Treasure Enhancers & "Ghosting" 6 years 9 months ago #85

What i did at Origins (I was Deeperdark training room coach) was get everyone in my room and run through my initial introduction. As part of that i made a statement for players to have treasure enhancers out and that i would (and did) check after i got all players on training tasks. For most part that worked well. What i would like and so far should happen is to have coaches tag in coaching room who i need to check/count for treasure enhancers. That way after i get players on training i can just sit and then call players as needed for verification.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

I have no problem with that.
If the trainer is not comfortable with it, just ask him/her to call for a CC.

I should note that at Origins at least there was not a pedestal. There might be one for GC I don't know. At Origins I just asked where they wanted me to pull the tokens out (I had to rephrase this twice because now I know Druegar is reading and I didn't want to set him up). :)

Yes, Jedi, you pulled them out for me twice. They were very impressive... but not quite as impressive as Mongo's.. He pulled them out for me many times and the more I fondled them, the more he seemed to enjoy it.

This is why i had to rewrite it twice.

Anything to make the Coaches job easier (and more enjoyable, lol!)

I found the process non-intrusive and fair... the coaches always checked each CoA in my stack... but didn't take long.

Rule #6 in original post is no longer accurate. Perhaps it should be corrected?

Rule 6 should be deleted and rule 5 amended to show that the same ghosting rules apply to all Cons.

Is anyone else bothered by #3 describing a process that has never been used?

Even if there are well-lit pedestals in the future, i expect earned treasure will still be written down by the coach and only verified in training room.

Also, what is the process for 'check each player one at a time'? If i have the tokens for 4 of the 10 players...?

Not trying to cause trouble or an overhaul or anything, but when the official rules dont match what is happening in practice, one of the two should be updated.

It's going to have to change anyway, once the rfid process is in place.
