That's it, was legitimately hoping to use this con to introduce some friends who don't do gencon to TD. I have exactly 2 run choices that fit schedule (either side on Fri). If i miss out it then i'll reconsider plans for TD and Origins in specific. Was looking forward to volunteering but this event fiasco is rediculous. I'd get missing out due to ticket sell out this is preventable bs.

I've been getting the same two error pages for the last hour. Is the site down or is it just contineously hittiing a max? Has anyone bought tickets.

This was my biggest fear signing up. I kept thinking there'd be some big update to this same website i've seen for origins for years, but it doesnt look like it. I wonder do the origins people attend gencon and realize the server load was going t obe an issue.

I’ll probably get booed out of the room for this one: I wish they would do this or some variant of this at Gen Con. I have never understood why someone could think they can buy ten tickets to an event, say three months ahead of time, and then an hour before the event turn five of the tickets in and expect a full (or mostly full) refund. Or have tickets to two conflicting times (through friends and/or multiple buys) and then decide at the last second which one they want to do. It does not help the planning of the event by the sponsors or workers. It is disrespectful. It is very inconvenient for those who wished to play and now have to re-plan at the last second since there is now an opening (more convenient to have had three months), or for those but gave up trying since there were not slots available when they were trying to do their plans.

If you buy a ticket to a rock concert three months prior, can you go up to the counter an hour before the concert and get a refund? I don’t know, I wouldn’t think so. I know you can buy additional insurance just in case you get a flat tire or something and cannot make it.

I am sure some take advantage of the system just so they can do as they please, without any cost to themselves for poor planning and disregard to the population and event as a whole. They should do away with this system. Things happen, and you’re out a ticket, that’s life. Other than that all it takes is proper planning and respect for others.

This is just Bloody stupid of them. I can only purchase one ticket to an event and I can't buy the rest of the tickets for my friends, and we can't even tell if the room is combat or puzzle side.

Origins is a "best of" as far as combat/puzzle. There isn't a separate puzzle run and a separate combat run.
