TOPIC: American Stroke Association Charity Golden Ticket Auction Begins June 24th

Knowing what to do and how to recognise a stroke attack is a skill I wish I did not have but am glad to have after the last few years.

On my flight over to the US last year a man walking down to his seat had a stroke and fell on me. The crew were awesome in what they did once they knew what happened.

I was able to see what had happened after watching my father have a series of strokes over the last 8 years.

I won't be on the GT run as the winner, but if they need any tokens that I can help out with, like a ring of heroism or something, please us all know.

It is hard seeing someone you love have a stroke. Most people aren’t aware of how important the first hour is in response. If you get the drugs to treat strokes immediately, the impact can be reduced to a tiny fraction of what it would otherwise be.

Regarding the run, we’ll keep your offer in mind. I’m planning to provide the winner with an epic level build - I should be able to do so for most classes just by downgrading my own build a bit. Worst case, I’ll see if people on our run can trade classes a bit and I’ll go in as a bard

Speaking as someone on your run, I can definitely help get a 2nd person to Epic level in any class, also at the expense of my own build if needed. I can't bid in the auction, which makes me sad as is, but I can definitely help this way.

Sorry that the Stroke Association went with an auction partner competing with the company you work for. I didn't know in advance (I didn't know your company did similar work, either ).

I didn't have a horse in the race as to who they chose to go with - I just deferred to them since I wanted to make it as simple for them as possible as I know they have much bigger fundraisers they are doing. I did as much of the legwork as possible so all they had to do was activate the page and include the language I wrote.

I am seeing good discussions happening on the Facebook page - it is helping to raise awareness. That was my primary hope
