Thanks everyone, and I believe I owe some of you an apology. I have a feeling some volunteers will thank me.

I think it's good that loophole was closed. I was thinking it did open up the possibility of using a recent wand for your regular turn, and a Wand of Cure Light Wounds with MoMM, and never have to turn in the Wand of Cure Light Wounds (which is the only way I'd ever use it).

It does sound like you can no longer use the same Wand for your regular turn and your MoMM effect, and just turn that Wand in. It sounds like if you are using a Wand on your normal action and MoMM on your free action, that you'll be turning in two Wands per turn.

I think it is one (or two) wands per room (with MoMM), not per turn.

Also, Two is only if you use 2 different wands.

I did know that it was per room, not per turn, I worded that incorrectly.

Are you sure you can still consume just one Wand in a room with both regular turn and MoMM? That paragraph was crossed out.

Maybe the rule could just be that MoMM-users spend the wand of highest rarity. Simple.

That way the sleaze of “common main and free action rare” goes away, but you’d only spend one rare to use both.

The first paragraph does make it clear wands still have unlimited charges in that room, so you won't have to burn a new Wand every turn. I think the main question is whether you can still use just one Wand in a room to cover both your regular action and your free MoMM action.

Do you get to pick which Wand to turn in if they are the same Rarity? If so, that would still let someone use a current year rare Wand and Wand of Cure Light Wounds, and just hand in the current year Wand. Admittedly, there are few people that have a Wand of Cure Light Wounds.

I think the rule would work well for combat wands. There’s always going to be a corner case.

If I were making the rules for that particular wand, it would be “WoCLW counts as a UR wand, max of five uses per room.”

I would like to know the exact way the rule works with mystic mouth starting at origins. The discussion before basically made it where you only expended one wand per room with mystic mouth, and could use two wand actions per turn.

I get we don’t want common wand sleaze and I agree with that. But burning two rare wands will get very expensive. Statistically on a 8k order you will only pull 24 rare wands. It will not take long before mystic mouth becomes cost prohibitive to use because if we use up the supply then the price will go through the roof on wands as compared to other rares.

Let’s say wands go up to $3 each due to demand
That adds $18 to a run with 3 combats if you are using 2 wands per room.

I’ll be fine for a little while either way because I picked up wands cheap recently but once I run out it will be time to hopefully sale my mystic mouth to someone that needs it for a transmute because it will become to expensive to use.

The best solution if the rules are going to change on mystic mouth to 2 wands used per room will be for TD to offer a exchange similar to what they have on lenses of Devine sight and cloak of shadowskin.
I would also like to see the ISFC included in such a program. I picked up both due to the wand rules from last year.

I think many would agree that the only reason they picked up an Ioun Stone Flourite Cube was because of the way the wand rules were configured.

I don't know that we necessarily deserve a redemption program for them. I personally would like one, but I don't think we deserve it.

The turn in program for the Cloak and Lenses are, at least to me, to allow for more clarity on how the tokens work now.

The Ioun Stone Flourite Cube definitely works as printed still.

TPTB are great at supporting the player base, and I think we sometimes fall into the trap of "If you give an inch, they will take a mile"

Other collectible games have a banned list that gets updated frequently for game balance and health. If you have a bunch of cards that suddenly and unexpectedly hit that list, you don't get to turn them in.

Would it be a nice gift or gesture, sure?

Do we deserve it? I don't think so.

Also, I note that no one above me said we did deserve it, just that they would like it.

I don’t disagree with you on the not deserving a redemption program.

At this point I have enough wands to use mystic mouth 16 times at 2 wands per room with 3 combats before I’m out of wands. I spent close to $100 in cash and trade to get to where I have just under 100 rare wands.
It’s just a cost thing. 2 wands per room get expensive fast. I thought this was settled and I felt at 1 wand per a room used up was a nice compromise

Another consideration: I don’t think wands were ever meant to replace spells. Even if the rule stays the same, you probably at most need double wands one room per dungeon.
