TOPIC: Large slider

Large slider 9 years 7 months ago #1

Hi,

My buddy was telling me about a barbarian he played with who was using a much larger than normal slider when attacking and he didn't get a chance to ask him where me got it. I figured someone here would know. Where did the large sliders originate and how can I get one?

By the sounds of it, your friend met Smackdown and his Artifact weapon hammer. Smackdown is one of the big players in True Dungeon and buys tons and tons of tokens every year. Back in the day, every year Jeff would hold an auction to give players a chance to make their own Artifact items. That's why you see some items that are soul bound. Smackdown's weapon has CRAZY stats and also has a larger slider then others. I don't even think they have the artifact auctions any more but if they did, you would need to invest thousands of dollars to have the gold necessary to bid.

That was likely Smakdown, the slider is a property of his artifact, which was the end result of an arcane recipe, which are sadly no longer available.

There was also another large slider. I forget whose artifact it belonged to, but he was able to ask for divine help as his ability. The slider that was used was a 5 gallon bucket lid that took up the entire board.

Does anyone know more information on this artifact?

I'm actually pretty happy they are no longer available. I like the relic/Legendary token options much more as far as retaining some vague semblance of game balance. :)

That's Joe's coin. We coordinators get to make up an effect for him to simulate his whimsical deity reaching down and stir things up. It's not always entirely beneficial, but it's all part of the fun.

I have a photo of it! (And of Smakdown's puck as well) I'll post a pic when I get a chance to go through my photos.

That run was by far the most fun run I have been on. Thanks to everyone on it! I think 4 of us in a row did bank shots off Kubu's bucket lid to land on the 18. And before that hearing the multiple judges squeal with surprise when they looked down to calculate damage and saw Smakdown's puck and damage. It was all priceless.

It's just a shame that the awesome amazing items can't be made by us lowly peasants.... If I had the chance I would make a relic that allows you to use a two handed melee weapon in one hand...
