Saw the question had been answered by Raven.
For your Team Yeti run, you can give your list to binia or myself and we will enter it into the Char Gen True Dungeon phone app. :)
Winner of a Ring of Focus (that is now a Relsa's Ring of Focus) at Raven's awesome pickpocketing event at TD Tavern in 2008.

While working on recording my stat line for Grind, I came up with a few questions. My Monk will be equipping a +2 and +3 Viper Strike Fang along with the Shirt, so I am getting the set bonus. Will this mean that the value shown in the builder is my total attack and damage bonus, and I only need to subtract 1 for my 'offhand' value? Also, you asked that we record the different damage types, so do I get 2 poison on each hand? And if so, do I mark it as 2/2? With these two equipped will my Melee damage be the same for both hands?

Just want to make sure I get this filled our properly before I get to my event.

Unless something has changed, it usually doesn't stack that way, or at least in the past it hasn't. So the +2 and the +3 viper strike fang would still only count as having one of the set. I dunno if that's different with weapons or not because for items, it was established you could only have one of them equipped.

I'm sure Druegar will be around to say for sure though. It's surely something that's been discussed and resolved now that we have items that allow you to have multiples of what used to be singular slots.

Discussed and resolved months ago :)

#1 they are two different weapons. Names are not exactly the same so already makes the 3 piece :)

#2 Any Relic or Legendary weapon equipped counts as 1 for a set even if it matches another equipped item.

So it's valid both from unique name perspective and from relic item perspective

So, two of the +3 Viper Strike Fangs would work for the bonus, but not two of the +2 Viper Strike Fangs?

AS I understand it, you are correct. At least one has to be Relic or higher.

Correct.

If you are using 2 UR tokens they count as 1 for set bonus.
If you are using 2 Relic or Legendary tokens they count as 2 for the set bonus.
If you are using 1 UR and 1 Relic or Legendary they count as 2 for the set bonus

Uniqueness
To qualify for a set bonus, the set's quota must be filled with unique items if the items are Ultra Rare or lower in rarity. E.g., a ranger may wield two +1 Mithral Long Swords, but they only count as one when it comes to qualifying for the Mithral set bonus. However, if one or more of the weapons in the set is of Relic (5-point star) or Legendary rarity, a set's quota may be met by two weapons with the same name.

The only difference should be that the + Hit has one slightly higher than the other.

You don't do anything with the + damage since those are already factored into the damage wheel. So both the +2 and the +3 should show the same + damage on the party card. And you don't need to mark anything regarding poison since that is directly on the weapon token.

Good questions!

Now does the party bonus stack? If several people in the party have the viper set does the party gain the bonus from each of them?

Pretty sure that's just a wording issue. All players means all classes not the whole party.

The Viper Strike Set: When at least three items are equipped (there is no additional set bonus for equipping more than three Viper Strike items), all characters gain +2 To Hit on all attack slides (including spells.) In addition to the To Hit bonus, monk and rogue characters gain an additional benefit:
Monk: if a Viper Strike weapon critically hits, it deals +5 Poison damage (which is included in the total damage to be doubled because it's a critical hit)
Rogue: double sneak attack damage on a critical hit
Usable by: Barbarian, Bard, Dwarf Fighter, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue

Asher's +5 Viper Strike Fang (2014)
+2 Viper Strike Fang (2014)
+3 Viper Strike Fang (2014)
Viper Strike Belt (2014)
Viper Strike Shirt (2014)

No

No

The intention was to indicate that any class that equips three VS items got the standard bonus, but only the rogue and monk get the additionl bonuses.

The TDb entries for all Viper Strike items have been changed in an effort to make that clearer.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
